Dream Eater

It had a lot going for it . The concept was cool but i hated both characters. They acted like toddlers throughout the whole film. You really had no idea what was going on until they broke down and explained the lore. THat should have happened sooner. The actual reason for the sleep demon is really cool though and i hope they explore this more in the future.

That was a really good comedy. If you wanta introduce people to horror toss this crap on for them. It would have been awesome if it went full blown lovecraft. But instead we get the same stupid scenes over and over. If you wanta be creeped out watch Shelby Oaks instead that was a far better demon like movie.

After reading hype about this movie on Instagram and IMDb for months, it was very disappointing. Essentially, it's about a possessed/sleepwalking guy who does weird stuff at night. It got to be very repetitive, especially when the girlfriend discovers him sleepwalking, wakes him up, Listens to him explain that he doesn't remember, and then they cut to the very next night. Same thing happens again. There were definitely some creepy scenes, but instead of extending the tension, they just cut away from the scary dark nighttime scene too soon, to a daylight scene the next morning when the guy couldn't remember anything, of course. The girl was a little too accommodating, and the guy was a little too stubborn to care about either one of them. No one wants to go to a doctor, but if I see footage of myself sleep walking and hurting people and putting my hand in a trash disposal, I'm gonna get to a doctor instead of claiming my girlfriend is nagging me.

If you can even call it a film. The story is beyond derivative, the outcome is predictable, the pacing feels like torture, the characters are extremely grating and annoying, the cinematography makes zero sense... This might be my worst film of the year.

Now, don't get me wrong here. When I saw the trailer I knew this was going to be a dumpster fire, but I've been surprised before with bad movie trailers. Still, my expectations were on the ground floor and this film never once exceeded them. I knew what was happening the entire time, as well as what was going to happen. Not one moment of surprise, intrigue or care in the entire ninety minutes. I would rather watch Skinamarink a second time than be forced to sit through this drivel ever again.

Overall, this should have gone direct to streaming. Zero chemistry between the leads, zero suspense, zero tension, unnecessary scenes galore. This was one of the worst movies I've seen this year, maybe even of all time. Ninety minutes never felt so long. I wish IMDB let us give zeros because this one definitely would've earned it. I recommend that you stay far away from this dreadfully hollow attempt of a film.

Wasn't for sure if I was going to like this one or not, after the beginning I was loosing interest, but stuck with it and overall I ended up enjoying it. The storyline wasn't the best, but the scares and a haunting atmosphere was there. The found footage angle gets boring pretty quickly in most of these types of movies.
