Anwar Says: I was eagerly waiting for this movie after watching the trailer on a sensitive subject of Domestic abuse but I am extremely disappointed. Neither the Kanika Dhillon has been able to narrate the story nor the director Shashanka Chaturvedi has been able to convey it through her characters. I also pity for Kirti Senon first production, she should stick to her main job.
Kirti tried to save the movie in her double appearance but the the script is so scattered and the story is so predictable that she couldn't succeed. Role of Kajol , a natural actor, is so weakly written and the Haryanvi accent doesn't suit to her tongue. Even the anti-climax would hardly put any impact.
Subject like home violence, PTSD etc. Need more serious and meticulous handling and only choosing the subject and good casting do not make a good film.

Movie name - Do Patti
Star cast - Kajol, Kriti Sanon, Shaheer Sheikh
According to Wikipedia, it's a romantic thriller movie. But let me tell you, you will neither find romance nor thrill in this movie. It's garbage, you can say.
Kriti Sanon's debut as a producer, it is a cinematic catastrophe that defies its "romantic thriller" label. Prepare for a rollercoaster of disappointment, where romance is as scarce as a unicorn and thrill is as elusive as a ghost at a séance.
Kriti herself is the lone beacon of hope in this cinematic wasteland. Her dual roles as the feisty Soumya and the vulnerable Shailee are a masterclass in acting. It's almost as if she's channeling Meryl Streep and Jodie Foster simultaneously. Unfortunately, her stellar performance is overshadowed by the film's numerous shortcomings.
Shaheer Sheikh, a talented actor, seems to have been lured into a trap. His character is as flat as a pancake, leaving him with little to work with. The blame for this cinematic atrocity squarely lies with director Shashank Chaturvedi, who clearly doesn't know the difference between a good movie and a bad one.
And then there's Kajol. Her character is as confusing as a Rubik's Cube. One moment she's a fearless police officer, the next she's a meek lawyer. And in some scenes, she's just plain useless, getting bullied by Dhruv without so much as a whimper. It's like watching a superhero movie where the hero spends most of their time sitting on the sidelines.
In conclusion, "Do Patti" is a cinematic disaster that should be avoided at all costs. Unless, of course, you're a masochist who enjoys watching bad movies. Or, if you're a die-hard fan of Kriti Sanon or Kajol, you might find some solace in their performances. But for the rest of us, it's best to steer clear of this cinematic shipwreck.

* Do Patti Hindi Movie Review *
Directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi starring Kriti Sanon in dual roles & Kajol in the lead.
Do Patti is another version of Darlings with a forceable addition of climax which made the graph of the movie even lower.
Domestic violence & how a woman reacts & how a society should stand against is all about the movie.
When movie like Thappad, Darlings came up its high time for the Bollywood to repeat the same & Do Patti shows that "we will not change."
Keeping aside Kriti's performance who able to manage to bring the features of the two characters well, the movie does not add anything interesting.
Climax which could have been ended before the current shown climax , but by unnecessary court room scene , what the director exactly wants to show is still a question mark.
Overall a below average flick.

In a summary, this story misses on the very science of story telling.
It starts off with a twin show, making you believe there's something more to them, one is lying one isn't, keeps you guessing and keeps you intrigued. Gives you a very thriller/suspense vibe by focusing on the polar opposites sister and the "ma ji" character- who appears to be mysterious and suggesting there's more to the story she's trying to sell (all that flashback)
Then SUDDENLY, out of no where this movie becomes all about a social issue. Hands down, it's a very important social issue and needs addressing but the way this movie randomly jumps on it was VERY random, sudden, abrupt and not coherent at all.
It's like you watch a movie about race car driving and then it suddenly becomes about prostitution that happens on red light signals and goes all in on it. You're left confused.
Kriti acted really good and you'd buy her as two opposite characters- however, how this movie ended, we absolutely did not need two characters. One was enough!
Kajol is a natural at this point, acting is like sipping water for her so all the praises to her craft!
The guy in the movie is really good too!
Writing seems like they stitched two VERY different movies together. From a character piece to a social issue narrative.
Good scenic shots here and there.
Over all a very confused movie with good performances.

Movie name should be "One Quarter" instead of "Do Patti". How the narrator gulped one quarter before describing the story of twins sisters made me feel that this movie has been written after many quarters. Good plot with no script, third class direction, third class screenplay and worst dialogue. Kajol is confidently expressing herself in the Haryanvi language. They presented the court in such a way that it seemed like it was the "Mayka". I was surprised here that an IPS officer who is a lawyer is also doing advocacy and also doing his duty in IPS. Kriti and Shaheer perform well. Further more the hope of climax is created at the end but turns out to be fuss bomb.
¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaKriti Sanon and Kajol reunite after 9 years.. they worked in Dilwale 2015
- ErroresWhen Maaji is speaking at the police station, the officer picks up an empty alcohol bottle & tells her to stop the drinking. The very next shot is of Maaji finishing off the alcohol in the bottle.
