I'm only rating it a 10 because so many people are giving it a 1.
This episode wasn't the best, but it also wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. This was a pretty good episode that had some funny moments and some sad/emotional moments.
The plot of the episode is actually really fun and creative. Yes, I know it's a Squid Game parody, but I still found the way they made it into a Futurama episode was creative and felt natural. They didn't even mention the thing they were parodying like other episodes in the Hulu run so far.
People have become so negative online that nothing can just be decent or good anymore. It's only great or trash, and I don't think that's a fair way to look at things.
Overall, this is a fun, silly episode that does pull on your heartstrings occasionally. It's not perfect, but it's far from bad. I would say it deserves about a 7.5/10. This episode will undoubtedly age well and only get better with time.

Wow, this one was good! Don't get me wrong, it wasn't PERFECT, but I think this is, by far, the best paced and funniest episode since the reboot. It seemed, from the title, that it would be a relatively soulless tie in to the Squid Game show, but they really went above and beyond to make this one its own thing. The comedy is also getting better and better, and I found myself enjoying this one's jokes a lot. Tonally, I don't think it will ever be the exact same as either the originals or the CC episodes, but that's ok. It's a different decade, and there are different writers. I think this one will be remembered more fondly in the future than today. Plus, the ending was incredible! The only real problem that I got peeved by was the ad breaks, and how they stop the flow of the episode, despite there not even being ads for this show. Either put ads in, or stop breaking the pacing. Anyways, great episode!

This is a perfectly fine episode - not the best but by far better than the worst of last season. It's like a "Tales of Interest" but a bit more cohesive. It's one that pulls at the heart strings, but maybe not quite as well as episodes like Jurassic Bark.
This in no way deserves the low ratings it's getting and I, for one, will be pretty upset if this odd standard being applied is a reason that we won't be getting further episodes.
The voice acting seems to have gone up a level compared to the previous season, which felt quite off after such a long break.
Futurama is still thought provoking, entertaining and a welcome distraction.

The past few new episodes have gone out of the way to include like every character that's ever been in the show, probably in some attempt to get away with minimal character development. Maybe development for one character in their B story but it's not particularly clever or interesting. It's like the writers were making a fry episode one just made the aliens do whatever. No clear motivation other than to wreak havoc? But it wasn't like funny or clever the aliens were just like "OOOP gotcha, the game isn't what you thought it would be" for the ENTIRE EPISODE. It's just not super creative. I think some of the appeal of the older episodes is that the og crew of usually just bender Leela and fry going to get into shenanigans with other people as the plot instead of the other way around? There are just so many characters in one episode it's kinda difficult to care about what's going one. And then the end is oh no one was hurt the end :^\
This episode was strange by all standards. There was no instance that was funny unless you're somebody who likes random blatant violence. The moral of the episode shown in the end was also confusing not heartfelt in any way and generally weird. This episode left way more questions then it tried to answer by creating new character developments and backstory to characters nobody really cared about. And only making the relationship with Fry's family more confusing than it has ever been. The main villains of this episode also look like they should be in a different TV show by how they're designed and animated. And they inclusion of so many other characters from previous episodes really feels forced in this episode. It's also filled with jokes that would have been funny two years ago but now are extremely out of date.

- TriviaFry's mom has baseballs signed by members of the 1962 New York Mets. At the time this episode was released (5 August 2024), the '62 Mets team was noted for having the most losses (120) and the worst winning percentage (.250) in Major League Baseball's Modern Era, which started in 1901.
- ErroresAt Fry's 8th birthday party, his father asks if he's worried about America's "boys in Grenada." This implies that Fry's party occurred between October 25th and November 2nd of 1983, and thus, Fry was born on the same date in 1975. But Fry is stated to be 25 years old on December 31st, 1999, so he would have to have been born in 1974.
