From being an amazing show, especially during the first and second season, also the third season, it was great. It had a good ending and a solid run!!! But what happened!?? This seasons plot, to me, felt all over the place ; from the first episode get go. There is no purpose, no clarity, no character development, no suspence or drama. It almost feels the show creators at this point are just trying to milk this show as much possible. Hopefully, they don't ruin the legacy of this amazing show and try to put up a good effort in the last season!? Maybe tie everything up nicely, for one last time!!!
Another one bites the dust. I'll always remember this episode as the one that made me stop watching this series, as much as I used to like it. Previous three seasons were awesome, clever, funny, bold, entertaining, shocking. All that was replaced by boring, disturbing and most of all, disgusting. Ep. 1 was already much below my expectations but I decided to carry on and give it a chance to redeem itself, but far from it. It only got worse in ep. 2. Whoever watches this episode will probably guess at which particular scene I just had to turn it off because of how unnecessarily disgusting it was. Final note to the producers: there is a fine line between shocking and disgusting and you just crossed it.
Which Episode Will the Deep "Jump the Shark"?
Not in the Fonzie style, The Boys series did that early this season.
I mean in the twisted way The Boys always deal with pescaphillia.
The first two seasons of this show were amazing. I have watched the first 3 and fallen asleep each time.
I'm not alone.
This show used to be a "must see" series like GoT or Ozark. Now, it is more like a chore. I'm hoping it is like the 5th season of GOT.
I'm not holding my breath.
The worst part is I live in Toronto and the inconvenience with traffic, is no longer worth the end product.
If the show must continue, can you please use another city for filming.

This is shaping up to be the best season yet. The current events satire is strong but stuff like TruthCon has got to be the easiest satirical target ever. Makes me wonder why this hasn't been tried more often. Is The Boys the only series with the guts to do it?
Adding a character like Sister Sage could have backfired because it's easy to come up with a new character who is super strong or can melt you from the inside out or whatever. You just hand the work off to the CGI folks.
But the smartest woman, sorry, person, in the world is not so easy. The writers have given themselves the challenge of writing a person who actually IS smart, says smart things, does smart things. And you know what, I think they're pulling it off.

Also, to the guy in the reviews saying this show has a "male nudity obsession" UM HELLO? Have we been watching the same show for the past few years? I'd argue it's been even worse in the past seasons!!!
Anyways, as for the story so far..
We get a grim look at homelander and sister sages plans for the rest of the season, though I'm not 100% sold on her loyalty to him. So far I'm really enjoying this. It's a good return to form and this show never disappoints with the jokes, the gore, or the narrative. Though I thought the first episode was a little better this one continues to ramp up the tension between homelander, the others in the seven, and the people (or toys) that inhabit this messed up world. I see where they're going with this, and I like it. THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN.

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThe set of the A Train movie appears to be inspired by The Wire complete with couch.
- ErroresSister Sage says, "The chosen one narrative only works if he stands alone. Harry Potter. Neo. Luke Skywalker." As the smartest person in the world Sage should know that Anakin Skywalker was the chosen one, not Luke Skywalker.
