That's Amorte

Compared to the previous 3 episodes, this one feels the most like the classic rick and morty we know and love. This episode has the hilariously random plot older rick and morty has, and also includes more interactions between rick, morty and the family. It won't go down as the best episode in the shows history, but anyone criticising this needs to lighten up a bit and remember rick and morty is about random adventures in space, which this episode is. Yes the voices (especially morty's in this episode) are off but it's similar enough to be bearable. So far season 7 has been below par, but this episode in particular feels like it could be in any of the earlier seasons.

While the episode itself wasn't quite in the top 10, I think this represents a recommitment to the morbid nihilist humor that made the show so popular in the first place. The series never really shied away from shock humor, but season 5 showed that shock alone doesn't make great entertainment. Season 5 was all shock, no humor. Season 6 was all humor, no shock.

It really is a ray of hope to see this show has found a way to make the macabre and absurd feel smart again, even if the episode didn't have any moral to the story. I had a lot of fun watching this one. It definitely seems adult swim was leading with it's weak episodes this season.

When the plot and storyline is good, you dont even notice the voice change that much. This episode was great and probably the best of season 7 so far. I loved the concept of it. This was the first episode of season 7, which had both rick and morty for a substantial amount and I was invested in the plot. So, the voice change didn't bother me.

Also loved the message behind the episode. How ignorance is a bliss. We people always talk about humanity, morality .........but only it doesn't directly affect us. We just intentionally choose to ignore the problem when it affect our own lives. Who cares about what's happening far away for us ? Let's just enjoy our spaghetti, right ?

This episode was top class. Fun for the whole ride, hilarious, but poignant at the same time. A great critique of (so-called) ethically sourced products and the human condition, along with our hypocrisy and consumerism to go with it.

Right from the initial disclaimer at the start of the episode, I was curious to see how this episode was going to tackle this particular area. I'm not sure how but it managed to do it without being clichéd and made me genuinely think and reflect.

Rick and Morty at its best. Making you laugh, wince, cringe and then start questioning why Italian food tastes so good! 10/10.

After the first 3 episodes of this season, I was worried that R&M has lost its charm. And then they deliver this instant classic. Masterful writing. A great commentary on capitalism, consumerism, and ethics.

The way this episode started, I knew something is fishy, but I definitely did not expect it to be so twisted. Even the opening disclaimer could not have prepared me for this. A lot of the viewers might find this distasteful (pun intended), but this a genuinely well written episode. More of such messed up stories, please.
