That's Amorte

The premise of this episode is simple yet chaotic, something Rick and Morty has been praised in the past for specialising in. In this episode, Morty discovers that the "special spaghetti" that Rick has been serving is actually, in an insane twist, the flesh of an alien version of humanity that upon killings themselves, turn into spaghetti.

This concept is wacky, and fantastic, and immediately seats the viewer in for a "classic Rick and Morty adventure" of sorts.

Something special, my friends, about Rick and Morty is that since those classic adventures first happened, there has been a lot of character development. The show itself has taken up a more serious tone, given the characters more passion. And the writers have taken this and melded it with the premise so well that the outcome is an episode so shocking and heart-wrenchingly complex that I myself am stunned.

I cannot praise this episode enough. Please, whether you're a fan of Rick and Morty or not, please watch this episode. It is, without a doubt, one of the greatest things to come from this show and by far the best episode to have come from it as of writing this review.

This is not just a silly wacky episode. This is art. Something I did not expect upon starting the episode and something I still struggle to come to terms with and accept.

"If you're asking whether this was a story about right and wrong, the answer is, I don't care."

After the first 3 episodes of this season, I was worried that R&M has lost its charm. And then they deliver this instant classic. Masterful writing. A great commentary on capitalism, consumerism, and ethics.

The way this episode started, I knew something is fishy, but I definitely did not expect it to be so twisted. Even the opening disclaimer could not have prepared me for this. A lot of the viewers might find this distasteful (pun intended), but this a genuinely well written episode. More of such messed up stories, please.

"Life itself is wrong, and that means death is right."

This episode is what I expect when I go to see an episode of Rick and Morty; not just another random intergalactic/interdimensional adventure. Throughout the series, I've seen the moral and philosophical dilemmas dealt with in a dynamic and entertaining way and that's how many of us got caught up in the series. So this episode is what I've been waiting for for a while: a story that provides more than just empty entertainment, that takes on a sensitive subject and yet doesn't seem to give you any food for thought, but does give you a sense of what the writers think about it. It feels like the first seasons.

This episode is exactly what anyone would want from Rick and Morty. It takes a interesting concept and combines it with an excellent plot and more importantly, great jokes. The break-neck pacing and character consistency also massively contribute to an all around extremely entertaining 21 minutes. Episodes like these are perfect to introduce someone to the show, one that doesn't overthink what makes this show so great. This episode is proof that the voice acting was never the problem, and with consistent quality writing, the change will be completely irrelevant. I look forward to the rest of the season, to see if this is a sign of things to come.

Wow, I had a great feeling at the end of this episode. Reminded me of how this show felt during the first seasons. Great story, pushing some boundaries and for bonus points a BEAUTIFUL musical number.

The new voices were almost indistinguishable. Didn't notice anything out of place. When you see a whole episode and don't get reminded of the change I think we can safely say we're over that hump.... I really like these standalone story lines, especially if they're done this well. The season started kind of shaky but there has been a slow but steady line of improvement and I hope they can keep it up.
