Yeah this wasn't even that bad. It isn't one of the better episodes of the series, but I always feel annoyed when people say the newest episode of R&M is "a new low". Thai series isn't as good or as consistent as it use to be, sure, but my buddies and I are still enjoying it. We finished this season last week and are still quoting it to each other.
I have indeed seen Total Recall and I must admit this did sort of feel like that original movie at times with the character designs and the ridiculous cheese. I thought it was a pretty decent episodes, with some genuine laughs and really solid voice work. A few jokes didn't quite land, but that'll happen.
I don't really have much more to say. It's fine!

I watched this episode on lunch and really lost my appetite, so I stopped it. I've watched the rest of the episode on dinner, but it made me uncomfortable again. The episode, the story, the visuals.. Everything was so bad and ugly.
In my opinion, this was the worst episode ever! Also the new voice actors are very bad.
I think they can not do the show without it's main story and purpose, so anything from here on will be worse and worse.
I respect everything creators did in the last years, but honestly, this show must stop. We are going to witness another GoT last season and that is the worst thing that can happen to Rick and Morty.

Nobody wants more adventures of Rick and Summer, the series is called Rick and Morty and since the fourth season it has been losing its essence giving prominence to the other members of the family, Seeing Rick treating Morty literally like a dog was disappointing, the only two good episodes of the season were Rick Prime and The Hole, the others were extremely weird or boring although not as bad as those in season 5, I miss those simple but fun episodes like the one about Jerry's daycare and the ricks must be crazy.
I totally agree with the person who said this episode was good until morty turned into a kuato.

I was apprehensive about the whole new voice thing with this season, but it's proved to be an absolute banger so far, short of the first episode...
Having seen total recall loooong ago (not the remake). I honestly laughed more through this one than any episode in the last 2 seasons. The "Open Your Miiiind..." never got old, if you understood that he was actually trying to communicate, but it's all he could rattle off... It makes me laugh while I'm typing this.
The writers are on point with the dumb jokes that make this show, and the after episode shorts. I don't even hear the difference between the voice actors anymore, and anybody that does is probably still complaining about Korvo in the Solar Opposites.
I say keep up the good work, ignore the haters that can't get over a bad egg getting replaced, and down vote everything to oblivion out of pure spite.
All I really have to say about that is "Open your mind........!"

Season seven has, to my mind, been on a bit of a good run of late which continues with episode seven. Still in the post "revenge" period, we again find the show mimicking a very specific idea from a science fiction movie and running a wild plot with it.
Because she's done some chores around the lab, Rick (Ian Cardoni) allows Summer (Spencer Grammer) to have an "attribute slider" to use at a party. Morty (Harry Belden) is incensed that he has not 'earned' one and, at the party, he and Summer come to blows - which culminates in them both falling in the pool. The Attribute Slider then fuses their bodies together, with Morty becoming her 'Kuato', a deformed version of him sticking out of her stomach and unable to communicate. Having promised to fix it in the morning, Rick continues to get drunk, but Summer discovers that there is a nightclub, exclusively for people with Kuatos where she becomes quite popular.
A role for current "internet boyfriend" Glen Powell in this one, as Kuyatt - a handsome Kuato owner who drags Summer into the scheme that makes up the bulk of the episodes plot. Again, we're not using the A-Story - B-Story format here, and the Jerry and Beth don't appear at all. This is a Summer focused episode for the most part, though Rick does come strongly into the episode in the second half. As with the last episode, it's more funny than plot driven, indeed the plot does change with Rick meta-ly joking that he though the sliders were going to be the thing this week. Generally, the humour does work, with most of the gags landing.
I don't think I'm going to looking back on this as a classic in years to come, but the good run continues.

- Trivia'Wet Kuat Amortican Summer' is the first episode title to feature Summer's name.
- ErroresMorty and all the other Kuatos only say "Open your mind", they don't say other things, but give this phrase meaning psychically. The original Kuato in El vengador del futuro (1990) could speak perfectly fine, this signature phrase was just something he repeated as advice to Quaid. There doesn't seem to be any reason the Kuatos can't say other things. Artistic and comedic decisions like this are not goofs by the writers. Rick and Morty don't live in the Total Recall universe, they live in a universe where Total Recall is a movie and also where kuatos are real but behave differently.
