This movie was great fun to watch! It had enough suspense, scares and quirky comedy to make it great for adults. Poot was so much fun to watch. The mutants were so gross and visually amazing (weird enough to make me uncomfortable, but so different from what is usually put out there that I couldn't look away).
Some scenes had us at the edge of our seats, while others had us laughing so hard that we forgot that this story was inspired by Clive Barker. Poot is our family's favourite, stealing the spotlight whenever she was on screen.
It is so refreshing to see something different out there, looking forward to what the minds behind this masterpiece put out next.

We just saw this movie we were the only people in the theater. My kids loved it it was a last minute decision we never saw a trailer or knew anything about it. My 16 and 10 year old loves it. This would be a good first time scary movie.
Grandma says if you could imagine bringing a six year old or younger.
Be prepared for your kid... To not want bathes To not want gummies To not want to go to the zoo.
Great movie!
It was great story line ..my sixteen year old though there could be a love story in it .. but I didn't see it. I could see this being popular at Halloween time!
Need a second movie.

Review for anyone trying to find a movie for their kids to watch: Night of the Zoopocalypse is an entertaining and funny animated movie with good lessons on loyalty and not being afraid of people who are different. And the horror elements make it feel unique. We don't normally see that subgenre in kids movies.
Score: 8 stars
Review for adults hoping to enjoy a movie for which they aren't the demographic: this movie is both harmless and forgettable. It feels like a weaker version of many other animated movies. Half the comedy works. I doubt many adults will hate or love it.

Night of the Zoopocalypse is probably a perfect example of parodying the horror genre while also paying tribute to it as well. I loved how it used classic horror movie tropes, subverting them for kids, and balancing it with plenty of humor, heart and creativity. I also like its message of unity and faith, and how to cooperate with others. The filmmakers did an amazing job putting in a lot of passion and faith in this film, and it's shown in the final product. With a slight lack of good original ideas in the film industry, especially in Hollywood, it's really amazing to see an original story become popular. In conclusion, Night of the Zoopocalypse is a miraculously fun horror-comedy, and I highly recommend checking it out.
I did not have a zombie movie with cutely designed animals aimed at families based on an idea by Clive Barker, the creator of Hellraiser and Candyman, on my bingo card but it managed to be quite a pleasant surprise.
The premise isn't anything new if you are familiar with zombie horror, but the twist of it taking place in a zoo is a clever approach that brings characters of different species together to work side by side despite their preconceived prejudices against each other.
This is not typical animated family fare of which other studios like Illumination, DreamWorks, and Disney normally produce. This is a genuine animated ghost story that is equally unafraid to make you laugh as it is to make you creeped out. I wouldn't describe it as being particularly scary, but there are certain visuals that will stick with you for a while...Some of which I am surprised didn't get the movie a PG-13 by the MPAA.
The characters are very lively, quirky, instantly likeable, and voiced excellently...David Harbour is especially great, and Gabbi Kosmidis is the standout as Gracie.
