I watched the movie "Dheeran"* and really enjoyed it. It's a fun-filled film that made me laugh a lot something we've been missing in recent Malayalam movies. As a new director, Devadath Shaji did a great job. The story, character development, and presentation were excellent.
Being from a village in Idukki I could relate to many of the characters in the film. The performances by Ashokan, Sudheesh, Jagadheesh, and Manoj K Jayan were amazing they truly lived their roles. Even "Anuraga Singam Thajjjam Thakajam Actor Vineeth who played the comical villain, was entertaining and suited the film's mood.
As the lead, Rajesh Madhavan delivered his career-best performance. His body language, expressions, and even his dressing perfectly matched that of a real village bus driver. His emotional scenes were also well done.
Sidharth Bharathan and the actress also did their parts really well. And the charcter Dixon Kuttanpuzha was too good exactly I know a person same like him, superb character and acting. Overall, Devadath Shaji has made a brilliant debut, and I look forward to more comedy movies from him in the future.
However, I felt that the Tamil villain character could have been stronger , and the music could have done more to lift and elevate some scenes
Still, it's a must-watch movie that guarantees laughter, really enjoyed..I would give it a 9.5 out of 10.

Excellent movie with full of Fun elements... Thorughly enjoyed... Super acting Jagadhish, ashokan, sudheesh, manoj K jayan,.. Rajesh, Vineeth and each and every character were truly good. The story were really engaging without any lag and if you are looking for simple fun movie then this will be your medicine, without any lag and tension we can easily watch the movie,. Most of the comical elements worked and really looking for Deavadath shajis next movie.. The main attraction of this film is the simple characters that we can resemble in our life and congratulations to the whole team and the director Devadath shaji.... Must watch.
"Dheeran (2025)" isn't a film about a single hero, but rather a journey of collective folly and redemption, told with a distinctly rustic charm. Director Devadath Shaji has crafted a cinematic equivalent of a bumpy road trip through the Malayattoor countryside, where every character is a delightful, slightly-off-kilter signpost on the way to a destination that nobody fully understands.
The film's true strength lies not in its plot, which is as winding as the roads its characters travel, but in its ensemble. This isn't a star vehicle, but a finely-tuned engine of veteran actors and fresh faces, each contributing a unique, humorous rattle to the vehicle. Rajesh Madhavan as Eldhose, the titular "Dheeran," is less a central figure and more of a ghost in the machine, his legend shaping the journey of others while he remains an enigma. It's an interesting subversion of the hero archetype.
The real show is stolen by the motley crew tasked with his bizarre retrieval. Jagadish, Manoj K. Jayan, and Sudheesh, in particular, deliver performances that feel less like acting and more like a comfortable, long-standing conversation between old friends. Their comedic timing is a gentle ebb and flow, not a series of punchlines, making the humor feel organic to the setting. The film understands the quiet, often absurd, humor of village life-the gossip that becomes fact, the grudges that fuel a journey, and the misplaced priorities that make a simple task a sprawling adventure.
Where "Dheeran" truly sets itself apart is in its quiet moments. The film normalizes what other narratives might condemn, offering a refreshingly non-judgmental look at modern relationships within a traditional setting. This subtle social commentary, woven into the fabric of a lighthearted road comedy, is a testament to the director's nuanced vision.
While the film may meander at times, and some of its setups are a little too visible, "Dheeran" remains a charming and deeply watchable experience. It's a film that asks you to sit back and enjoy the ride, even with its occasional bumps and detours. It's not about the destination, but the wonderful, chaotic people you meet along the way.

A comedy that struggles to find its footing. The first half felt like loosely connected sketches; plot arcs are disjointed and the jokes felt too contrived to elicit attention, let alone interest. While the narrative tightens somewhat after the interval, the weak foundation means that it's hard to care much about the conclusion.
The film is carried entirely by its veteran supporting cast, whose seasoned timing in slapstick moments made them easily the more watchable element, though expected given their pedigree. Technically too, it's unremarkable - visuals are functional and the soundtrack is generic filler typical of the genre.
Ultimately, for a film rather ambitiously named "Dheeran", it's so meh. The core execution is too uneven and uninspired to resonate, and is already out of your system by the time the credits roll.

This movie....for me is about the casting, perfect character distribution and evry character has shown the humour very naturaly, seems to be more realstic. Directorial things is well done and cinematography gives freshnes in every shot. Music was awesome and background score for every scene was keeps engaging. Content wise this movie is not fresh and according to the screenplay and dialogue gives freshnes. This movie shows the power of vintage actors and they are just rocking in this movie. And the writers perfectly managed some genzy things yeah the thing is not genzy but in this era its highly mean to the genzy kids.
