It reminded me of one of my favorite movies, knives out. The twist, the turns, AMAZING! This is all so much better than season 3! I am so glad! This show has truly shifted my thoughts on TV.
The only thing is that I wish the episodes were at least released like 2 times a week or just do a full release. Sometimes I feel like I'm watching 35 minutes of them standing and talking and wasting time it's a little upsetting and before you know it the episode is done.
But other than that this season has been amazing. Is it my favorite? Maybe. I'll have to wait and see how it ends. Just please, Hulu if you are reading this, please make a full release instead of one episode a week, it's actually annyoing and is making many of the audience not want to watch it.

Well the episode is a homage to the Hitchcock movie Lifeboat. Where survivors from a shipwreck all gather on a lifeboat. Disparate strangers but one of them is a Nazi traitor. It all arouses suspicion.
Charles, Oliver and Mabel have suspicions about the residents in the West Tower. They are sure that one or more killed Milton Dudenoff (Griffin Dunne.) That same person would certainly have killed Sazz.
With their actor counterparts, they invite the Westies over but quickly find themselves outsmarted.
If you are in a lifeboat, time drags. I found this dragged as well. You just know when the homage to A Few Good Men lands flat as a pancake.

"Lifeboat" is a new episode of Only Murders in the Building, which introduces the Westies and the mysterious Dudenoff, redirecting suspicions towards the other Arconia residents. The episode plays with the credibility of the Westies, as the residents of the West Tower are caught in lies and the dialog seems robotic and forced. The interrogation between Charles, Oliver, and Mabel, along with their actor counterparts, provides enough surprises as the Westies have lies. The biggest twist in the episode is dramatically delivered with gravitas and even a little comedy with the call back. The comparisons between the main trio and the occupants of the West Tower provide emotional weight to the situation, hammering home the lone weirdos who find a family aspect for both groups and how they finally feel they belong. The funhouse mirror reflections of each other allow the protagonists to show the suspects compassion. However, the episode feels long winded and drawn out, with some jokes falling flat and subplots being more filler than actual development. Charles' struggles with his emotions are an afterthought, and his big blowup comes at an inopportune time, deflating the mood and bringing momentum to a screeching halt. The cliffhanger ending in "Lifeboat" should finally close the book on the Westies as suspects and allow us to strap in for the ride towards the real killer in the final two episodes. In Only Murders in the Building Season 4 Episode 8, "Lifeboat," the Westies' storyline is wrapped up, with details on Dudenoff's formation of a family and the Westies' bond. The storyline is centered around Helga's story, which highlights Dudenoff's care for the Westies and their importance to him. The actor trio is also involved in the storyline, which has been a highlight of the season. However, the episode ends with the trio being back to square one, with little information about Sazz's murder. Dudenoff's death is unrelated to Sazz's, but the fact that someone has been targeting the trio since Season 1 is not discussed. Helga provides a lead on Sazz's murder, but if Glen Stubbins is the killer, it's unlikely that he is also responsible for threats against Charles, Oliver, and Mabel. In theory, they should not have been on his radar back then.
