The Real Hunt Begins

I think this is the best Manwha adaptation of all time already. I said it. That's saying a lot.

Solo Levelling had gone above and beyond with the level of care taken through the adaptation - the detailed and calculated story mapping to a screen adaptation has worked excellently - this episode very well demonstrated that.

What was so good about this episode then? Well the answers are obvious: the animation, acting and pace.

Everything in the animation department today was perfect. The fast movements in the first part of the episode seamlessly went to a slower fight dynamic with a steady pace, and when watching the episode, it is very understandable that this was a necessary alteration to make to well-adapt the material, and that the way they did this just makes the episode feel so good to watch.

The voice acting also aids how the episode worked. Sung Jinwoo has been cast perfectly, by an actor well between serious and menacing but also soft - a well-defined, high-quality performance was exactly what was needed (also what Purdy needs at the Superbowl this weekend) and I have to say this was a great showing from the actors. The other actors, friend and foe were excellent and I cannot praise this enough - it is a testimony to a good voice actor when you can feel the emotion even if you don't speak the language they're acting in.

And, finally, the pacing was perfect this episode. Things moved fast but without skipping details - and that is harder said than done - this is a job well done, and we should not neglect the work put into storyboarding episodes because it makes or breaks any episode.

Overall 10/10. No complaints, and a massive bank of praise.

This episode just showed the potential of this show and how crazy things can get! At this point I get more and more hooked with each episode!

The way this episode developed took me by complete surprise!! I could have never anticepated this, to the point where I could not believe what I was watching! This just added a whole new complex layer to it all!

Who is the real threat? What does it mean to be a hunter? What is "the system"?

The animation and soundtrack was incredible! Both things have been way better than I ever thought!

Jinwoo as a character, is perhaps the most compelling and intimidating main character i have seen this early on in a show! From where he was in episode 1, he is almost unrecognizable! This is the stuff you would expect from some OP side character... but nope.. he is the main character!

I see why so many people were hyping up this anime as soon it got announced, the level of care and attention to not just the detail but to the character of Jinwoo is amazing to watch.

This episode has perfect pacing because it flew by and did not feel rushed one bit with all of the characters in this episode assessing the situation within their own minds; all that info could become overwhelming but man this episode killed it

The animation was amazing but what struck out to me most this episode was Jinwoo himself. His character is so believable and his decision making was pretty realistic to what i think most people would do if they find themselves in a situation like this. His moral dilemma about his actions this episode whilst finding a way to justify said actions was just fascinating to see, the anime just started but his character is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Shoutout Taito Ban because he was perfectly cast as Jinwoo Sung; the changes in Jinwoo's voice in some moments is amongst the best voice acting i've seen in any media and he's killing it as Jinwoo.

This episode is proving how this show will go down as not just the best manhwa adaption ever but one of the best adaptions ever put to screen.

The anime will go down in history as one of the greatest, right up there with AoT and One Piece, if they can meet the manwha's hype. The incredible brilliance of Sung Jin Woo's persona and the astoundingly stunning yet edgy artwork the manwha has displayed to the public are difficult to adequately describe.

Specifically, this episode gave me a familiar thrill in my brain, just like when I first read the manwha and saw the energizing power of Sun Jin Woo's aura. Nothing compares to the chills that Sung Jin has repeatedly managed to impart. Every new chapter is like a tempest, waiting to sever your feelings the way Sung Jin's dagger would.

In conclusion, the anime will be a monumental achievement if it lives up to the hype. Something never seen before, possibly sculpting a new era for shonen anime.

Sung Jin-woo is the only character in the anime world who embodies the true nature of a human being. If we were in Sung Jin-woo's place in all of this, we would do the same thing. No one wants to be seen as weak and mocked. Anyone who gets this chance will do his best to protect and take care of what he loves, Respect this fact.

I think this is the game-changer for all anime world! Because we are about to see the best and most powerful characters of all time! I enjoy it, and I would say I didn't expect that animation from this studio! But he killed it and created a good episode. Thanks, A1-pictures.
