Hollywood writers just can't seem to help themselves, taking ham-handed political jabs that - I suppose - are supposed to teach us, well, I do not know. Here I was engrossed in a fun series and hoping that Noor made it out alive, that Foxglove was exposed, recovered, etc., and I'm hit with a totally gratuitous "campaign" interview that caused me to immediately hit pause and remove the show from my watch list forever. Small stone causes big ripples I guess.
It is a shame because I expected to see more of Sami, who is far more interesting than either Peter or Rose, and Catherine, who eclipses the lot. The show really did have the potential to grow given the supporting cast.

It's not the actors fault at all. It's the writing team bringing Rose down to the most unbearably annoying person sitting on her high-horse. Here are a few lines from the episode.
Peter: "I'm doing the best I can. Tough choices are a part of the job" Rose: "You're job, that's the difference, you signed up to be a night agent, I didn't".
Literally Rose could have left a million episodes ago when she had a chance. Actually Rose you decided to stay and nobody is forcing you to stay with Pete. Nobody is forcing you to stay on your moral high-horse and beat the viewer over the head over and over again. Any moment you can enter witness protection, and we won't have to listen to your insufferable-hypocrite dialogue for another episode.
Not the Actors fault, Buchanan is talented, but the writers have written Rose into a dumpster.

The exciting NETFLIX series THE NIGHT AGENT (produced by SONY PICTURES) continues in the second season just as turbulently as the first. This time it's about Iran, former Eastern Bloc despots who are imprisoned in The Hague, and chemical warfare agents.
The great thing about spy series like THE NIGHT AGENT is that they have to be international because of the many foreign spies. So in the sixth episode of the second season, the German actress Barbara SUKOWA makes a great appearance as the French agent Jacqueline Laurent. She provides Peter Sutherland's (Gabriel BASSO) new boss and lead agent (Amanda WARREN) with an important contact that is vital for the further investigation.
After her early successes in German-language cinema (GERMAN FILM AWARD 1982 for LOLA and DIE BLEIERNE ZEIT), Barbara SUKOWA had been working internationally as an actress since the 1980s. In 1986, she received the Silver Palm at the Cannes Film Festival for her role as ROSA LUXEMBURG. During that time, she also had a leading role in the American mini-series SPACE based on the novel by James A. MICHENER. In 2021, she was even nominated for the French film award CESAR for her role in DEUX. In between, she was nominated three times for the EUROPEAN FILM AWARD: in 1991 for HOMO FABER, in 1992 for EUROPA and in 2013 for HANNAH ARENDT.
Such a long career in the film and television business enables an actress as experienced as Barbara SUKOWA to sketch out a fascinating series character with just a few strokes, like the one in THE NIGHT AGENT. I enjoyed the second season even more thanks to the participation of the wonderful Barbara SUKOWA.

I wish we could review per season. Season 1 I give a nine season 2 I give a four. .. It's basically the same as season 1 just with different window dressing. And Rose okay done with her because her character took a huge step backwards this season. Really give a 600 comet review when you're not trying to give away spoilers Just keep talking until eventually we get to that point where is no longer matters 200 to go 184 to go blah blah blah let's see what happens oh 136 to go we're getting closer getting closer under a hundred oh my god we're almost there there we are all right yeah never mind 14 to go boom.
¿Sabías que…?
- ErroresAt around the 27 min mark when agent weaver is sat at the table with the French diplomat, she shows her her FBI identification and in the next shot it is laid on the table in front of the diplomat. The very next shot it has disappeared without agent weaver moving to retrieve it.
