Disconnected

First season was ok and easy to watch. Are there different writers for Season Two? Heavy handed in trying to convince viewers of villain, unexplained events that remain unexplained, using a kid as a pawn(!), no real plot, and so much running being chased by the who the heck knows! Totally lacks cohesion, such obvious, lack-luster events just for shock value, cheap shots at foreign nationals, and an obvious need for the Pete character to get therapy. Sad that first season was fine and this just feels thrown together. Waste of actors time and resources. It was always a B movie compared with others in the genre but not unwatchable til this season.

Our two protagonists finally team up to chase down a lead, and their collaboration is a strong reminder of their great chemistry. The episode delivers a thrilling race against time, with Catherine stepping into a more prominent role as the unfolding mystery weaves through moments of family drama.

The fast-paced events keep the momentum high, though the fight scenes aren't particularly impressive. Still, everything comes together well. We are also introduced to Noor, an employee at the Iranian embassy with her own motives, caught up in an espionage plot. Her involvement adds an exciting new layer to the story, and it will be interesting to see how she connects to the main plot.

While I initially expected the series to expand onto a more international stage, it's becoming clear that all roads lead back to New York City, which is slightly disappointing. However, the introduction of the Iranian characters brings an added level of intrigue and international espionage.

This episode balances thrills, suspense, political tension, and family drama-delivering an engaging yet fast-moving experience.
