To declare that the female lead in this series is 'abrasive' would be akin to saying that Mission Impossible has some action sequences.

She is so contrarily stubborn and abrasive that it's impossible to stay attached to the plotline.

Every word or action her protagonist speaks or does is set upon by her with an absolute vengeance.

If this weren't enough to put anyone who normally enjoys police dramas off, the ridiculous improbability of some of the police procedures is seriously laughable. As I don't want this review relegated to the 'spoiler' section of reviews, let me just say I watched, with some tongue in cheek, up to and including episode four. At that point the events become so absurd and silly that I wondered if I had strayed into a cartoon series.

If you like overly- strong-willed women in charge and submissive men, then this is the one for you. For the remainder of humanity, though, it falls seriously short of believable.

Another "not" female lesbian main police detective. You may start feeling there are just a handful hetero-women left in this world. Give her a bar of soap to wash her mouth. I'm just more than tired to watch these rude females. Why can a woman, lesbian or not (doesn't matter to me) act like a normal female being.

The rudeness, her hatefulness and conflicts dominate the whole story. So instead of watching a good crime story, you watch North-Irish/Irish conflicts, spiced with her female/male problems.

I definately have better things to do in my sparetime.

Still waiting for a new crime series with good scripts and actors. Sadly something you find rarely these days.

There were lots of great unexpected twists in this new series. Every two episodes there is a new murder to solve with the same two detectives continuously throughout. The series has great pacing and the acting from the two very different lead detectives and their dynamic is very well done (two very opposite characters with one firecracker headstrong woman from the south and a more contained traditional man from the north). Set in the beautiful backdrop of Irish countryside on the boarder between Northern and Southern Ireland, the show is both entertaining, gripping and eye opening towards the conflicts and dynamics between the North and South of Ireland which I have not witnessed in other television. Would really recommend for a gripping series with a beautiful setting, great characters in an entertaining crime series.

Well, this is the set up. Sorta like " The Bridge" ( Danish version is phenomenal) or " the Tunnel " ( UK), but in this case it is good ole, Ireland. Where, in the first episode a crime is committed on one side of Ireland and kinda involving the other side ( North and South, respectively), bringing together our two cops.

In the first couple of episodes, Reagan, the female cop, can be a little off putting, but, I feel that the 3 stories that we get in the 6 episodes, are unique enough, and each involving these 2 detectives, merits a decent program, all and all. The actors are all pretty decent, and I can say this is quite bingable over a couple of days. I personally liked it...

If you are an angry male hating neo-feminist lesbian with unresolved past trauma you will like this movie. If you hate Protestants and desire all men to be feminized you will like this movie. If you long to see a TV show that promotes all the toxic stereotypes of heterosexual manhood you will enjoy the movie. If you enjoy watching exaggerated characterization of ball breaking tough female cops you've hit the jackpot. This movie has it all.

Out the gate, the first episode showcases the abrasive female cop. Heightened by her obvious hostility towards men. Her character made it hard to follow the dialogue because her fabricated attitude is so dominant. She is constantly annoying. Shaking her fist at the world. The male partner is in the background. I rented this series via Amazon and regretted it 20 minutes into the movie.

I have seen hundreds of detective movies and tv series. I know what a good detective show when I see it. Examples would be; Vera, Hinterland, The Bridge, Broadchurch, Spiral, Inspector Frost, Inspector Louis, Beck, The Killing, Bordertown, Wallander, Murder by The Lake, Maria Wern etc. All great screen writing and directing. This show had none of that. I could not finish watching the series. It was too disappointing. I would not recommend watching this series.
