Truthfully, I was relatively worried about the show but I was pleasantly surprised.
The show capture the soul of the original show without being a copy cat. The characters seem to have solid introductions throughout the episode and every felt they had multiple facets to them.
Additional I enjoy the number of surprises the pilot had to offer.
This definitely feels more like a Boston legal situation versus the mistakes they made with the show Pearson.
With that said the first episode was a bit rushed but not in a way that majorly matters. The show definitely has a strong foundation but time will tell whether it will stick the landing.
All I know is, I'm excited to see what happens next!!

Love the script in some scenes but it seems like the characters went to a thousand of places with the exposition. The screenplay is overwhelmed for a first episode. Love to see new attires, characters and the rich vibe of LA. Stephen Amell molds in well with his new role, he seems contained and well cast for the lawyer verbiage. I wouldn't go as far as to exploit his past in the first show, but it seems that they need to cram all of his flashbacks in one go, sort saving rooms for the other casts to explore their own past in last episodes. So far it's exciting and good run start. Can't wait to see what more the show has to offer.
It's one episode and people are comparing the show to the original? It is a very good pilot, what more do you want.
I love that they are not copying Suits. Instead of a duo, now we have Ted Black (I love Stephen Amell in Arrow). What a character. Ted looks like a born-winner and natural leader with a hint of a psychopath. Instead of corporate law, this one will be focusing on criminal and entertainment law. There is no boss (Pearson or Hardman or whoever), there's also Ted against his brother/enemy, Stuart.
Some might say this episode is a bit messy, but that is true for most TV's pilot. There's a lot to introduce and unpack. We are seeing a glimpse of characters and stories to come. Yet, it is an easy watch and managed to keep us entertained.
I truly can't wait for the whole season. What a pilot, very promosing. Please keep it amazing.
Also, what an amazing cast.

I don't normally even leave reviews, but I will do so WITHOUT spoiling anything. I watched the original series when it first came out and have binged this show quite a bit over the years. This Pilot did NOT disappoint. I love the fresh take and angle of Entertainment & Criminal Law. Is this not the stuff that makes headlines? It only made sense that this would be a natural pivot to set this show apart. People who don't know Stephen Amell might think his character impersonates the Harvey archetype, but I watched him in Arrow and his other stuff, and I don't see it at all. To me, personally, he's channeling his Oliver Queen delivery that he's known for, only this time you can see his growth as an actor. I will say, this Pilot came out swinging and has a much more serious tone than the original. But I can tell it's done on purpose to set the tone for the main premise-which is a firm in crisis.
For me, this is Suits but a bit more mature in tone. Don't get me wrong, there's still the charm you love because these are all the original creators, writers, directors. But you can tell they're drawing a clear line in the sand that this is a different story, different people, and in my eyes.... no one is drawing on the old characters.
I'm just glad SUITS is back! So if you're not one who is easily influenced by comment sections.... give it a shot and see for yourself. If you're looking for the original series, you're not going to get it. This is similar, yet different. It's like a new relationship that reminds you if what you looked for in previous ones, yet gives you something new.

I thought I will be disappointed watching this because it does not meet the standards of Suits.
Though it doesn't even came near original suits, it is still good and engaging. The Performances of the actors are also good. Maybe since I watched without any expectations I was satisfied with the episode. Stephen Amell is not trying to be Harvey (Gabriel Macht). The plot and the story also seems very different from suits. I recommend watching Suits LA without expecting anything related to Suits but to watch it as entirely separate Series. Even a person who hasn't watched Suits can also watch Suits LA. And above all that it seems like a very good series for those who haven't watched Suits. Arrow Oliver Queen Fans who misses Stephen Amell, this could be a treat.
