Episode #1.1

Abigail Dalton (Suranne Jones) is the newly elected Prime Minister of Great Britain. It is a time of crisis, not enough drugs for the National Health Service. Not enough armed troops.

She is hosting the French President Vivienne Toussaint (Julie Delpy) and relationship is frosty between the two. Toussaint is flirting with the far right as she strives for her second term.

She also proposes to station French troops on British soil to deter illegal immigration.

Suddenly Dr Alex Anderson, Dalton's husband who works for a medical aid charity in French Guiana is kidnapped along with others. The kidnappers demand Dalton's resignation.

There is something ridiculous about the whole thing. An idiotic plot.

Here is one example. In reality, the illegal migrants come to France and then hop over the English Channel to Britain. Maybe British troops should be stationed in France!
