Episode 1 of Season 2 was a solid though largely sedate affair. It was clearly there to set the scene rather than move the plot forward in a big way or provide much action. With background to two sub-plots provided I expected these sub-plots to come to fruition over the remainder of the season.
Turns out we didn't have to wait long for stuff to get real.
Episode 2 is an absolute humdinger of an episode, quite the most action-packed, drama-packed episode of the show so far. No gradual buildup to a season climax, this feels like a season finale there's so much going on, and so much finality in some respects.
Such is the outcome of the episode there are a multitude of plot-lines open to the series, making the next episode very intriguing.
Note: I haven't played the game nor have any inkling of the plot, before this episode aired or from here on out, so my views are entirely based on what has happened thus far in the TV show, not on any other sources.

First season was ok but lacked action, we didn't see enough of the infected to the point where I was barely feeling the danger. Finally in the episode I felt the danger, the anxiety, I finally thought : omg how are they gonna get out of this situation? Which is what I like seeing when it comes to zombies or zombie like creatures, the unpredictability. First episode was also good, except the teenage drama, and the girl is just insufferable so I hope we won't any of that anymore. But if episodes continue on the line of this second episode, it's going to be an epic season! Can't wait for new episode!
This second episode of the new season of The Last of Us left me stunned, not just because of what happens story-wise, but because of how it was executed. Unlike the video game, the writing in this episode makes much more sense. The characters' decisions feel more human, more emotionally driven, and therefore, more believable. What leads up to that scene-such a controversial and pivotal moment-feels far more real and justified in the series than in the game, thanks to a much stronger narrative build-up.
The production and acting were, without exaggeration, sublime. Pedro Pascal delivers one of his best performances as Joel, showing a moving vulnerability. The level of detail in the setting, the tension in each frame, and the emotional weight of every scene all reflect top-tier filmmaking.
What stood out the most to me were the new elements and action additions not present in the game or reimagined for the show. Everything feels more organic, more intense, and at times, heartbreaking. The Jackson part, for instance, adds a brutal sense of urgency to the episode and keeps the viewer on edge.
In summary, this episode doesn't just honor the source material-it improves upon it, adding coherence, emotion, and stronger narrative structure. It's an adaptation that dares to go further than the game and succeeds brilliantly.

This is the second time (or maybe third) that I see a tv show episode that is 10 out of 10.
And after many, many years, this is a 10 out of 10 episode. Pure perfection!
Game of Thrones "spoils of war" and "hard home" was two perfect episodes.
Today I saw a one hour episode that was sooo good that it felt like ten minutes.
I will for sure watch this episode many times, over and over.
This was so good! Intense, drama, action...the cast is amazing....the screenplay! What a amazing job by everyone. Thank you HBO and everyone involved in this great tv show.
"Through the Walley" was pure television magic!

I have yet to play part 2 but obviously I was aware of was what to come, but wow.....
This episode was by far the best from either season. So intense so emotional. The pain and despair could be felt through the screen. Im in shock im in disbelief. My heart is in my stomach and i am just left not knowing how to feel.
Right from the start to the very end I could not turn away. Sitting with my mouth ajar on edge the entire episode. I can not believe the raw violence. Not fully sure where the show goes from here but I can not wait for whats to come after tonight's episode.
Such an incredible episode.

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThe weather impacted production; filming occured during a blizzard, including the scene in which Abby is chased by infected.
- ErroresJoel, Dina, Ellie and Jessie all arrive on a horse at the lodge. When they ride back to Jackson there are only two horses.
- Citas
Ellie Williams: My shit with Joel is complicated. I know that. From the outside, it probably looks really bad. It *has* been really bad. But I'm still me, he's still Joel, and we... and nothing's ever gonna change that, ever. So you can all stop talking about us, worrying about us, and thinking about us, alright?
