Unfortunately, I have to agree with the masses. 15mins into the show, irritated by Esmeralda. Kinda reached a stage I am skipping all her parts. I like the tempo of the show, there are some good potential characters for further development. Nice to see an OG Oscar, still brings delight to the TV screen.

Gleason is a great actor and I have enjoyed him in other shoes. Unfortunately I do not think he can't carry this show. I might be able to watch this if Esmeralda was not on it. Esmeralda's character is so annoying you don't see anyone else because she is so "loud" . Please either cancel this or remove her.

The cast is good and the characters are well laid out. There are a lot of jokes and the pacing is good. I appreciate that they open the first episode acknowledging that mockumentaries are a stale old bit; however, by episode two I'm tired of it. It would be interesting to see an edit without these interviews and see how the show could stand on its own. I also like how they highlight in a joking way all the reasons this industry collapsed.

They are setting up a will they/won't they situation. But if you're already an old fashioned show why not drag out this old bit too.

This is an easy and low investment show that can be a fun watch. It is not innovative or creative in any way, and it doesn't need to be.

The worst thing this show did was advertising itself as a successor to the office. It does have simularities but also so much is different; episodes are longer, more story based, the pacing is different and it feels off if you compare it to the office.

Also I think the acting and directing are a bit weird in some places, but I gave it an 8 for a reason.

I don't understand some of the review's saying it was awful etc. And that there is no subtle comedy like there was in the office, I genuenly think those people just didn't notice the subtle comedy, maybe it was too subtle. But overall the writing is great and feels familiar, and the new Jim and Pam type couple (I mean ned and Mare or whatever her name is) seems great so far, very different but a great story.

Remove Esmeralda, flesh out the characters and make a season 2.

I have to strongly disagree with one of the top reviews, most of the characters are relatively normal people. There is no Dwight, Andy, Angela, Creed, Gabe, Robert California, or Micheal. The only over-the-top character is Esmeralda and she is mostly just... annoying. And that is what makes this show meh. Haven't laughed out load at any moments yet. Did the writers forget that this is a comedy show? It's written like a drama. So far it's not very good, but it has potential.
