For Over a Fortnight this was stuck in my head

I loved this video! It had very cool visual effects and somehow was all black and white except for colored smoke at one part. I don't know how they did that, but they did.

Taylor and Post Malone are awesome together, they have great chemistry. There were so many stunning costumes and sets. I'm not this biggest fan of music videos in general, but this one was awesome! Any swiftie would enjoy.

I love TTPD (or The Tortured Poets Deparment). My favorite songs are Fortnight, Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?, and Florida!!!.

    Another masterpiece by Taylor Swift.

    Another masterpiece by Post Malone.

    Another Masterpiece. Period.

    A Perfect Cinematic Masterpiece

The music video for "Fortnight" is a truly perfect and stunning work of art, deserving of its flawless rating. It's a cinematic masterpiece that beautifully and hauntingly visualizes the song's core themes of mental anguish, public scrutiny, and a fleeting, intense romance.

The video's greatest strength is its bold and brilliant visual style. Shot in stunning black and white by acclaimed cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto, it's a feast for the eyes, filled with surreal and symbolic imagery. The video is a meticulous tapestry of metaphors and "Easter eggs," referencing everything from classic cinema to her own past work and the album's themes. This level of creative detail makes it a rewarding experience that invites multiple viewings.

Taylor Swift's direction is confident and sophisticated, proving her growth as a filmmaker. She masterfully contrasts different visual worlds-a sterile asylum, a chaotic office, and a desolate landscape-to reflect her character's internal turmoil. The chemistry between Swift and Post Malone is palpable and genuine, adding a layer of poignant vulnerability to the narrative.

Overall, the music video for "Fortnight" is not just a visual accompaniment to a song; it's a powerful short film that stands on its own. It's a perfect blend of high-concept artistry, emotional depth, and brilliant execution, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

    Beautiful music video

The way it provides visuals for the rest of the songs on the album is amazing. It's a masterclass in visual storytelling, where every shot, every costume change, and every subtle detail serves as a direct metaphor or a clever reference to the lyrical themes and narratives woven throughout the entire record. From the haunting black-and-white cinematography that sets the album's melancholic and gothic tone, to the specific outfits that evoke different moods and eras - like the white gown reminiscent of her Grammy's announcement or the Victorian mourning attire - each element feels meticulously chosen. The video doesn't just complement "Fortnight"; it opens up a whole visual universe, hinting at the pain, delusion, introspection, and even the moments of defiance found in tracks across the album. It's as if Taylor Swift herself is guiding us through the "worlds she saw in her head" while crafting The Tortured Poets Department, making the viewing experience not just an accompaniment to one song, but a compelling visual anthology for the entire album."

    Amazing in everything

The wild world of social medias brought me to this freaking awesome music video that reunited "Dead Poets Society" stars Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles on the year the film celebrates its 35th anniversary, one of my favorite films of all time. So, if anyone wonders what happened to some of John Keating's students, they became scientists conducting experiments on Taylor Swift, as she tries to deal with repressed memories and fantasies of a lover (played by Post Malone).

It has nothing to do with the film, as the settings and storyline are very surreal and imaginative, yet the guys reunion compelled me to see it and I simply loved that encounter as it also gives a reference to a new generation in looking back at a classic film.

The bonus I got was hearing something unique, different from everything I hear these days (great lyrics and melody), and seeing the great-looking styles and visuals Swift obtained with her director of photography Rodrigo Prieto ("Killers of the Flower Moon", "Brokeback Mountain") while presenting a twisted world that goes inside her character's head. The digital makeup effect that presents Malone's tattoos on her face, little by little, was certainly one of the most memorable moments ever developed on a music video. It all goes in a very cinematic manner and it's very appealing to film audiences as there's so much going on that invites some reflection on all the elements and feelings presented.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the video, the song and everything. 9/10.
