John Kreese: I saw you talking to Johnny on the way out. I recognize that look. So whatever it is that you got planned, it ain't gonna happen.
Terry Silver: Isn't that noble? And pathetic! After all this time, after he rejected you over and over and over... and you still can't shed that weakness!
John Kreese: On the contrary! He's a source of strength. He always has been! A student worthy of my dedication... who has since surpassed his teacher.
Terry Silver: That's a low bar, John. His teacher isn't what he used to be.
John Kreese: Let's find out.
Terry Silver: [grabbing a broken wine bottle] Yeah, let's.
John Kreese: [sardonically] Really, Terry? I thought we were warriors... and warriors fight with honor.
Terry Silver: Warriors fight with whatever they have.
[beat]
Terry Silver: Come on, let's do this.
John Kreese: So be it.
[he throws his lit cigar butt at Silver, burning him; he kicks the bottle from him and they fight hand-to-hand, with Silver knocking Kreese into a gas can, which spills onto the deck]
Terry Silver: Get up! Come on!
Terry Silver: [the fight continues, Silver has Kreese pinned to the deck, gasping] Oh yeah... this is how it was always supposed to end, John! You've been fighting your whole life! It's only fair. Don't worry... it'll all be over soon!
[Kreese reaches for his cigar butt, which is still lit... he throws it towards the spilled gasoline, Terry watches in horror]
Terry Silver: NOOOOOOO!
John Kreese: [smiles triumphantly as it lands] ... MERCY!
[the boat explodes]
