Hank Green does a comedy special about his experience surviving cancer. Hank approaches the experience through his particular lens, as a father, but also as a kind of public science educator.
As someone who has dealt with a less invasive cancer than what he had, and who has family that has dealt with more invasive cancer than what he had, I appreciate the beauty of finding humor in such a personal and terrifying challenge as cancer presents.
I definitely appreciate Dropout Presents for creating a new venue where less "pat" standup specials can find a home. I think a lot of the people who would appreciate this specific special are the same people who would never be able to make it to a show.
