Gesamtkunstwerk is a synthesis of the arts to create a (theorized) perfect aesthetic. Is a rare term these days. Used primarily in reference to the works of Richard Wagner, elements of this concept can be found today; most notably, I would argue, in the films of Stanley Kubrick, but also art as varied as My Chemical Romance and the architecture of Antoni Gaudi
The visuals, the colors, the writing, the acting, the music... everything about this episode is just beautiful. Probably my favorite episode so far and certainly an episode I'll remember alongside the all-time greats.
I don't have much more to say than that.

This episode is incredible. The music works in perfect harmony with the building tension and frustration of everyone in The Bear. Each part of the team is getting more and more exasperated with Carmy, who is clearly suffering and has gone cold turkey on the coping mechanisms he had in the last two seasons (smoking, going to AA, Claire). The comedic elements are refreshing and understated, though they do little to dissipate the rising dread created by the multiple montages of the more rock solid members of the team messing up. Every second, every shot, every vignette and audio cue are building the tension and signaling how precipitous the fallout will be. I haven't finished the season yet but I'm very excited to see how this will pay off.
On a side note, the latent/nagging intrusive thoughts (depicted as quick flashes, not always connected to the scene directly) is one of the more accurate visual representations of how my PTSD has manifested. I really applaud the entire team on The Bear- definitely hard to watch at times but for all the right reasons!!

This episode completely blew me away. As much as I love the mental health/trauma/family drama focus of much of the series, it is refreshing to have an episode like this (or Review in season 1) that just wholly immerses you in the wonder, stress and terror of working in a restaurant. Standout performances from all the cast here (especially Colón-Zayas, Bacharach and Edebiri) who put so much into every spare moment of an incredibly tight script.
Previous commenters have mentioned the music which was also amazing, it made the episode feel grandiose, operatic and also deeply funny somehow.
Best episode of season 3 so far.

Best episode of season 3 so far.
For me the first 2 episodes of this season fell flat. I thought the first 2 seasons were great. However once we got past the title card of this episode it has picked up into what I know is the 'The Bear' a fast paced intense show. I loved the way it was quick. I think Carmy needs to take a break . He is just annoying.
Overall 7.7/10

It's hard watching a plane crash.
He's become a psychopath overnight because he got locked in the fridge.
Look, he's had a terrible childhood with an insane family and is a mess, but for 3 seasons he was ALSO a good guy who we wanted to see win. He's no longer a good guy and i Wouldn't mind if he fails - because he's being an idiot.
It's hard the way they film it in hellish smash cuts of destruction of this restaurant that we all care about. We're watching Carm ruin all of it due to emotional immaturity. That's hard to witness!
And it's also a bit sad no one can rein him in. The writers have made the financers and everyone around him just endlessly yelling. Why can't Unc or the sister just take his CC away??? Because the writers want the drahmah
Fair enough but I fast forwarded through the entire episode and still Know everything that happened.
