    Well its about time

Well its about time.... for several, several things in this series. Buuuut like any sense of direction, plot, continuity between and/or actual storyline(s) in this series, its just not going to happen.

No, what i'm referring to is something much more simple. Which is of course miss Gillian Jacobs. Its about bloody time they added somone with some personality to save this train wreck of a series, if only for a portion of an episode.

I mean this show is bad, brutally bad. The only thing i've wanted is to see more of Ms. Jacobs and here we FINALLY have it.

It was underwhelming with pointless dialogue, but she does a fantastic job of playing to an otherwise detatched partner. As I've said before, NOBODY in the main cast has a fart of chemistry between them.

Fun fact: The science and chemistry behind a fart, is still more appealing than the angry then pretentious dialogue of this series.

Also more entertaining than pointing out to people who can't use 'then' and 'than' properly in a sentence... or at all, it would seem.

    ..... The Bear. (Sic)Its on TV! ....(?)

I'll pause for laughter of all kinds now. Til next episode.

Why should we keep bothering with this show if it focuses on one character's single emotion?

I'm tired. Jeremy Allen White is a talented actor, and his portrayal of Carmy has moments of brilliance. Yet, the continuous shouting and anger detract from the show's potential depth. This episode, in particular, highlights how one-dimensional Carmy's character can feel when his primary mode of expression is rage. It becomes difficult to empathize with him or stay invested in his journey when his emotional range seems so limited.

The episode attempts to delve into the complexities of the characters' relationships and their personal struggles, but Carmy's incessant yelling overshadows these moments. It feels like the show is stuck in a loop, unable to move beyond this single, exhausting emotional note. This not only limits the character's development but also makes the viewing experience tiring.

For The Bear to maintain its appeal, it needs to diversify the emotional experiences of its characters. Viewers need to see more than just anger and frustration; they need moments of vulnerability, growth, and genuine connection. Without this balance, the show risks alienating its audience, who may find themselves asking why they should continue watching if it only offers a repetitive portrayal of rage.

    Good but not outstanding

I think this season has had absolute highlights , but for me just not reached the top top levels of the previous 2, I'm on the last episode now so will save my overall thoughts for the end, but I still feel that we have seen a lot less character development than before. Still absolutely phenomenal though, but this episode just felt filled with unnecessary scenes that just weren't that enjoyable. The faks are just starting to get a bit overused also they were hilarious in small doses in previous season but they have definitely felt more forced into scenes this season for cheaper comedy than before.

Again I would like to say this season has definitely been more great than bad but I just wanted a bit more development from storylines that I now feel I have to wait another year for.

    Misleading title

There is no growth for Carmen in this season and s3e9 does not change that. We just go from B plots to C plots that generate no large denouement.

I am disappointed because there would be so many existing relationships to explore. Which could deepen, improve or become more tense to bring the whole of the interactions of the show to a new level.

The writers could have filled an entire season with exploring the relationship of Sid with Richie, Carm with Tina, Ebra, Cicero. Etc. What we get instead is the montages of the same issues that we knew of since season 1.

I am grateful for this season's Donna and Sugar episode it was great, but that's it.

Why are the Faks getting so much screentime. And why are they in this episode at all? Why do they go speak with Claire and Carm doesn't? Also that interaction resulted in nothing.

Watching the plotlines of the show go nowhere is exhausting.

The documentary Marcus watches at the start of the episode is Deceptive Practice: The Mysteries and Mentors of Ricky Jay (2012).
    • Errores
In a metal box that is a walk in fridge, it would be impossible to get 3 bars of signal on a mobile phone like Carmy gets on a couple of occasions! You'd have no signal at all.
