    Too many Faks given

With such a great cast and how much we've invested in them, did we need so much screen time in the Faks? Was a new Fak even necessary? This is the first time I've had to take a break from any episode --- I didn't even take a break during the emotionally draining Thanksgiving episode!

And then I felt compelled to fast forward their scenes. Having such a short season and short episodes, is this the best use of screentime? I don't mind them in small doses, but this was way too much. Couldn't we have a more organic interaction between Gary and Ebraheim instead? We've barely seen them so far........

    Who???

Who is this person and why are they talking?

I'm fairly certain that this episode was a literal depiction of what was going on in the board room when they decided to axe this show.

Yea folks, its true. They cancelled this show, then retracted their statement. This whole episode i'm willong to bet was re-shot specifically for that reason and they thought:

Hey, this would make for a great episode. Nobody will know why, or why we did it, but its all a self-i dulgent crapfest; accompanoed by the absolute worst lead actress we could find, so you know, why not?

That pretty much sums up thos entire series so far? That sounds like an incredibly pointless episode/season/series, should we make it.... why not!?

Oh, and if you're going to throw in musoc and what-not, just for the sake of people being from Chicago.... what's wrong? You couldn't get CM Punk so you got John Cena in one of the most pointless appearances (I use pointless alot when describing this drivel as it really is pointless) I have ever seen.

And i'm dead serious? Could you literally NOT get CM Punk, or were you worried that he would fit in too well and do a good job, so out of nowhere you have John Cena make an appearance with absolutely ZERO explanation.

What was the point of the scene with the photographer? I DEMAND an explanation for that garbage? No amount of explaining will ever exploit the truth though: that they had NO IDEA WHAT THEY WERE DOING.

    John cena bombs

John cena's addition was awful. Almost couldn't get through it. Giving this season one more chance. Hate it bc I LOVED the first seasons. Tina's story in the next episode is going to be great. I am looking forward to it.the writing was brilliant in the first few seasons. What happened?!? Such a great representation of the food industry. Please do better. Please stick the original story line and character development. I feel like these people are my family and I love them all. Please step it up and co time to write the good hard stuff. And get rid of John Cena. He was awful. Not even sure if words can describe it.

    Weird episode

This was a super boring episode that didn't move the plot forward at all. John Cena as a Fak didn't feel believable. I actually think the Faks are pretty funny, but in this episode it was just annoying and over the top. The constant use of "chef" by random characters honestly makes the show jump the shark a bit. One of the best parts of this show is that it feels authentic and this episode strayed away from that heavily. Hoping it gets back on track after this episode. There were some good moments mixed in, like Syd and Marcus' conversation at the beginning, but overall it felt like a waste of 30 min waste of an entire episode in a short season.

    Utter excrement

I used to love this show, it took me a while to "get it" but when I did, I fell in love with it. Season 3 though, makes me even question whether the first 2 seasons were actually any good. There was always the potential to veer into navel gazing pretentiousness, it was there in the relationship with Clare, but season 3 has teetered over the edge and fell heavy on the style with a complete lack of substance. Nothing happens, it's just a windy vacuum of portentous nothing. The only thing that could possibly make this show worse would be for John Cena to suddenly appear as an Uber macho knob end and start chewing scenery at the expense of any last vestiges of a plot. Oh wait... he's here!

    • Trivia
Chef Terry's 3-star Ever Restaurant is based on the real Ever Restaurant in Chicago, where Forks (2023) was filmed. In real life, Ever is a two Michelin star restaurant co-owned by Chef Curtis Duffy, whose hands are seen plating food in "Forks." The real Ever is very much open and very similar in cuisine and service to its fictional twin.

When Richie is on the phone talking to Jessica about Chef Terry's restaurant closing, he is not wearing his wedding band. The camera cuts to Jessica, then back to Richie and he has his ring on; then it disappears again.

Natalie 'Sugar' Berzatto: What's up, Computer?

      Nicholas 'Computer' Marshall: Pastry chef?

Natalie 'Sugar' Berzatto: What about him?

Nicholas 'Computer' Marshall: I mean, he... he makes two things, so that makes him too expensive.

Natalie 'Sugar' Berzatto: Okay... w-what do you want me to do about it?

Nicholas 'Computer' Marshall: Do you need a pastry chef?

      Natalie 'Sugar' Berzatto: That's Marcus.

Nicholas 'Computer' Marshall: Do you need a Marcus?

Natalie 'Sugar' Berzatto: Yeah, we need a Marcus.

Nicholas 'Computer' Marshall: Can you get a cheaper Marcus?

      Natalie 'Sugar' Berzatto: Computer.

      Nicholas 'Computer' Marshall: Natalie.

Natalie 'Sugar' Berzatto: I've known you for 35 years. You coached Mikey's Little League team. You're nice to Pete. If you fuck with Marcus, I will murder you.

      Nicholas 'Computer' Marshall: Chef.

      Natalie 'Sugar' Berzatto: Chef.
