Love the crazy mix of Hollywood meets authentically South African!
Good to see great acting with a good score and action, the peppering some comedy just builds a truly delightful film.
The acting is world class, sets convincingly good, lighting design was great!
Trevor is a hoot!
Action man Jonathan u got it!

South African cinema has been serving us rom-coms for years.
But this one?
It's loud, it's bold, it's funny and it's unapologetically South African.
Jonathan Boynton-Lee kicks down the door with guns blazing in this genre, he absolutely nails it: funny, charismatic, and totally believable as an action lead.
And then, Trevor Gumbi.
Comedy gold, but with heart - he's the perfect partner-in-crime on screen.
He is hilarious & magnetic.
The perfect duo.
The rest of the cast match their energy perfectly - talented, witty and a joy to watch.
The mix of action and comedy feels fresh and daring, and you can tell the cast had the best time bringing it to life. The fight scenes land just as hard as the jokes.
This film is proof that SA can play in the big leagues of action comedy. It's smart, it's over the top in the best way - basically everything you want when you sit down with popcorn.
More of this, please.
South Africa deserves it.

From the very first scene, the film grabs you with its energy, humor, and heart. The performances across the board were nothing short of world-class. Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Trevor Gumbi deliver chemistry that is as hilarious as it is heartfelt - a true buddy-cop dynamic that keeps you hooked from start to finish. Noxolo Dlamini and Jack Devnarain add so much strength and authenticity to the story, rounding out a cast that feels completely in tune with Johannesburg's heartbeat.
The locations are spectacular - Joburg has never looked this alive. The way the camera moves through the city captures both its grit and its beauty, showcasing the contrasts that make it such a powerful backdrop for a story about crime, loyalty, and unexpected friendship.
Visually, the film is stunning. From the high-octane action sequences to the sharp comedic timing, the cinematography gives every frame a punch. The crew behind the lens deserves immense credit - the direction by Mq Ngubane is tight, confident, and fearless, while the writing balances sharp wit with emotional depth.
Above all, what struck me most is how much heart this film carries. It's funny, yes. It's thrilling, absolutely. But it's also a celebration of South African storytelling at its boldest - proof that our industry can deliver world-class cinema that resonates globally.
To the cast, crew, and everyone who poured their talent into Cop & a Half: you've created something unforgettable. I'm beyond proud to have witnessed it, and I know audiences worldwide are going to feel the same rush of pride and joy that I did.
This isn't just a movie - it's a milestone.

Just a good, fun, proudly South African ride from start to finish. Great performances all round, big explosions, bigger laughs, great writing, beautifully shot. If this is what SA can do with very little, Hollywood better watch out, cause damn we've got the talent to match! I am even more proud to be South African after watching that gem of a film!
Everything I love in a movie, just good fun from start to finish. I loved all the characters. Busi and Jon were my favorites, they are real superstars. The movie also looked like it was shot in Hollywood with a huge budget, so well done to the film makers. Incredible South African talent on display here.
