ED: Extra Decent

It was a decent attempt from the creators and the first half worked well for me. There were some moments of laughter, but the screenplay became sloppy after a while and didn't fully entertain the audience in me. The story was a creative one but it could have been developed a bit more by adding some more interesting, comedic contents and that's what this movie lacked.

Suraj, as usual has performed well and all the other characters have peformed well. The story could have been more engaging and it would have been a great dark comedy from Mollywood, many scenes in the second half was not necessary at all.

Other aspects like production design, cinematography were fine. The BGM was supbar.

It's an odd movie-with a rather improbable plot and unimaginable situations. But it doesn't disappoint, at least not to the level you'd expect. The screenplay lacks clarity, and the direction fails to impress. Still, there's something about it. It finds a strange sweet spot between a dark drama and a grey-toned comedy-if that makes sense. Suraj's performance is what keeps it afloat, doing a decent job of masking the glaring negatives.

Don't go in with high expectations and you might actually enjoy it. It starts to dip a little after the halfway point. The pacing and sequence of events begin to feel a bit dry, but not enough to completely lose you. There are certain moments that genuinely make you laugh. It's one of those movies that leave you feeling uneasy and unsure-was it good or bad? You can't really tell.

So sorry to mention that the movie ED produced by such a talented actor like Suraj Venjaramoodu fell really so short of expectations. Maybe it was mainly because of the poor story line of the writer??. The movie has left only a feeling of "Monotony" without much to feel that it's a commedy as shown in the ads of the movie. Like what the so talented Late Sri Siddique Sir told me when I was able to meet him and ask him why many films don't perform well, he gave me the important answer - "Lack of correct Judgement" as the main reason. I am sure there was really something wrong in the judgement by the people involved in production of the movie ED. Sorry to say that it would not run long in theatres. ED (Extra Decent) is a dark comedy featuring Suraj Venjaramood in a psycho character role, which he portrays with remarkable excellence. His performance, along with his distinctive get-up, stands out as the film's highlight. The supporting cast also delivers commendable performances, adding occasional comical moments to the narrative.

However, the film falters in its script and storytelling. The screenplay lacks engagement, and the story feels underdeveloped, leaving much to be desired. Stronger writing could have significantly improved the overall impact of the film.

The music is decent, though not exceptional, and while it complements the tone of the film, it doesn't leave a lasting impression. Unfortunately, the climax also fails to resonate, leaving the audience unconvinced.

Overall, ED is an average watch, best appreciated for Suraj Venjaramood's stellar performance but lacking in other critical areas.

A film which is full of dark humour. But it was enjoyable. Story wise this movie is a flop. It doesn't have any kind of story line. Even the main plot of the movie is also not justified.

The only positives of this movie is Surajettan's acting. He has taken the whole movie on his shoulders. He was just amazing. The comedy elements were also not bad. I cannot say there's a lot to laugh but was decent in its humourous part. I felt that they should have atleast made the climax better. The climax feels incomplete.

There are lot of negatives to say but seeing it as solely a comedy film it is good. Overall it's a decent one time watch.
