In keeping with the thematic element of my review of episode one, it factored in on respect and remembering and appreciating all that came before you.
While tongue-in-cheek to us longtime fans, it raises the points about respect for history and culture.
When I was a kid, sure parents were "old" and "not cool". But today's youth attack values and morals and throw shade on entirely cultural lifestlyes. This episode takes it on in a very comical way.
The hillarious dad-hating bits and the boy with 2 dad's it just another example of interalatable concept and humor by excellent writers.
And while we can learn to take shots at ourselves and laugh at it. It remains to be seen just how this soft generation can take a joke or not.
This brings the generational gap closer together, and with mass humerous affect. Another killer from Mike Judge and co.
I'm so glad they brought this back. We need balance in the world and right now I find it in the most unlikely of places.

"The Beer Story" brews nostalgia and sentiment in equal measure, striking a rich chord in King of the Hill's revival... and continues to reassure longtime fans that Arlen hasn't lost its charm.
The story focuses on generational clashes and unexpected common ground, with the Hills at the center of it all. What stands out most is how naturally the humor flows... this isn't just a nostalgia trip, but a show that knows how to reintroduce itself to the modern era without losing its soul.
Performances are again a highlight: Mike Judge's Hank feels lived-in and steady, Kathy Najimy's Peggy brings both warmth and comic spark, and Pamela Adlon's Bobby truly feels like an adult version of the character we knew - ambitious yet unmistakably Bobby. Supporting characters add texture in just the right places, ensuring that this doesn't become a one-note family story but remains a slice of Arlen life.
The writing balances wit with emotional undercurrents, showing that the revival can honor what came before while exploring fresh territory. It's a grounded, funny, and heartfelt entry - proof that the series still has plenty to say.
