The series has evolved to be one of the best science fiction series ever - i hope with all my heart that apple doesn´t shut it down prematurely, because this is what i long for all week.
This episode is one of the more action-packed ones and i was sitting on the edge of my chair during the most of it!
The only thing not to my liking is Magnifico, but since i know more of the story by reading the books, i can let it slide. Good acting by everyone and an exciting ending which makes me long for the next episode already. Good stuff!
All in all, best episode so far in my opinion, and the best sci-fi show for ages.. or perhaps, ever?!

To Christopher, director of this episode:
Chill out with camera movements... not every shot has to have a pan, tilt, dolly, truck, or zoom. Look at the paintings of Zdzislaw Beksinski, Simon Stalenhag, John Berkey, John Harris, Caravaggio, and Da Vinci. Monumentality can be achieved in stillness, and not only that, but it is actually one of the key aspects of monuments... they don't move easily.
For the editor: I don't know if you could have done a better job with the material you got, but not every shot has to be one second long, especially during speech. Again, maybe this wasn't your fault.
To the team: The story and acting in this episode were also off, not too much but still noticeable. Everything happens in seconds and I feel like I watched some small budget movie. The twist at the end was cool, but it could have been more impactful if the pacing was better.

So Foundations First and Second still have no concept of what they are dealing with, of how thoroughly redundant their Plan is in the face of an extreme outlier.
A mightily hacked-off Dawn is into the void, for now at least. Day is going whatever he is up to having slipped the Nightwat...er Mycogen sentries. And Dusk, facing doom, is suddenly alone at the wheel, because Demerzel has gone On A Mission. I reckon Cleon's override is not long for this galaxy.
Who would have expected Vault! Hari giving the Radiant to Demerzel would prove that there is more than on way to break a model.
And Bayta continues to be a truly wonderful character, brilliantly played (in more ways than one).
All that AND the cancer on fan discourse that are shippers have been left heartbroken, as they always should be.
This season rocks.

This episode is a triumph-hands down one of the best TV episodes I've seen this year! The direction is stunning, transforming sets and locations into a breathtakingly immersive space epic, despite the budget constraints. The storylines are gripping, with Brother Day's arc in micogyn. Brother Dawn's interactions with Gail Dornick hit new emotional depths, and the characters are truly coming into their own. As someone who hasn't read the books, I'm hooked on where this intricate plot is headed. Episode five is a high point for Foundation, setting the stage for an epic finish. Ten stars, no question!
Season 3 is a collective failure. From cast to producer, I wonder how all of this could have been approved. Story is put in the back, quick, non essential, to develop useless characters. It's like Tarantino and teenagers' advertisers have taken control of the show to do intellectual m4strbation. The Mute, the banquet scene, the two repellent British tiktoker-aristocrats, up to the dialogs, nothing is spared from us... I'm very doubtful about the end of the season and the suit of it. What a waste after two smart and well written seasons.
