Pleasant Inn

Pleasant Inn delivers a lot for a seven-minute animated horror short. The animation style and visuals are signature to this director, and the story is genuinely unsettling - possibly even inspired by an urban legend. It follows a woman driving alone at night who notices a strange figure walking along the empty road. After deciding against offering the stranger a ride, she soon finds a motel called Pleasant Inn and checks in. Little does she know that the eerie figure has followed her. I have to say, this short would work just as well as a live-action film. The monstrous, earwig-like creature is deeply creepy, and with everything that happens, I wouldn't want to be in her shoes - or anyone else's in that story.

A lady to an in. On road, a young woman in white. Thr intention to help her is ignored.

So, at destination. Nothing special, nothing else ( except a friendly lady on laptop ) . But the night is perturbed by a violent visitor and its / her murders.

The mark of Mr. Romero, using the animation for real fascinating short horrors, using, în inspired - wise manner familiar references, represents theain virtue of an animation reminding, în some measure, Psycho, offering new perspective about an inn and giving the nice portrait of ambiguous evil and its metamorphosis.

In short, no surprising, provocative to fascinating.
