With such a cast, this should have been good.

Wooden acting does not even descripe it. Not sure whether it was the poor righting of the scripts or they just didn't get paid a lot.

I could have done a more realistic scene for a street party. I am really sure you would have a street party without it been blocked of the traffic and I'm sure everyone turned out at the same time in the morning to clear up without the local kids having already trashed the tables.

The court scene was beyond ridiculous and quite frankly embarrassing to British acting.

I won't we watching the second episode and I'm amazed I managed to watch all of the first.

John and Emma Barnett are set to sell up and move on, until a Street party, where Emma puts her foot down and states they're staying, and expanding their kitchen, the news doesn't go down well with the next door neighbours.

I'm generally forgiving of a Channel Five drama as they're normally four parters, please, please don't start turning them all into six parters, I think this one is going to drag a little, how will they stretch it out?

I'm struggling with Emma, she's a very conceited character, that dirty trick in court, coupled with the way she treats her poor husband, she's quite awful, I'm in the side of the neighbours.

Showing the deranged workings of the legal system, you may think this is extreme, it's not too far from reality.

John, please divorce Emma and go off with The Police woman (those eyes!) everyone else is just odd or unpleasant.
