Wreckless

Watched this at a short film showcase and absolutely loved it. Not only is it thought provoking, but the twists and turns will keep you engaged. Well done Lakefront Productions and special kudos to Jennifer and Erik for their performances. Great work!

I had the honor of viewing Wreckless at an event on July 31st, and it was an experience that left a lasting impression. From the first frame, the film pulls you in with a sense of urgency and intrigue. Its pacing is perfectly judged - never slow, never rushed - keeping you engaged right up to the final moment.

Written and co-directed by Jennifer A. Goodman, who also stars as Lucy, Wreckless is a tight, character-driven thriller. Goodman's performance is compelling, balancing vulnerability with determination. She's supported by a talented ensemble - Amy Jean Johnson, Joe Caballero, and Erik Reedy - whose portrayals add authenticity and depth to the story.

"Wreckless" comes at the issue of alcohol abuse from an unexpected perspective. I was impressed with the unconventional structure of the story and how it reveals a woman and how she is trying to process some of the choices she's made in her life. The character of Lucy was played with the right amount of disorientation and shielded vulnerability, and the rest of the cast showed great skill at creating interesting characters that you might see at a 12-step style meeting like this. I think the final shots of Lucy staring out the door at her boyfriend effectively said everything that needed to be said, and really pulled the film together. Nicely done!

Omgggg I love it so much I really like the style of the movie, the way the actors play the role, the special effects and the story of the movie is very incredible and so important to watch it.

I really like the theme chosen in the movie and the way it was shown, and how important it is to understand what to do in life and that every action affects our lives This movie makes you think about life and the role of the actors incredibly showed that you experience every second of it.

The team made an incredible story, revealed each actor and their problems and how they cope with them so much that it makes you think a lot.

I really enjoyed this short! The ating was great. It was captivating. I don't want to allude to any spoilers, so I'll just say I left thinking more about alcohol's impact on people and their family. You can really feel the characters fear and confusion from being in an AA meeting for the first time, and the commitment it takes to push through. Its a story line which I relate to, and I think could help people empathize. This short could easily be a full movie, and I look forward to see what the writers have planned for it. Exciting ending. I left wanting to see more! Highly reccomend, it's a fun thriller.
