Disappointment at its best. Worst season so far.

It is the worst season of the series.

First two seasons were a treat to watch in every aspect possible. Just to create season 4 they made such a disappointing season 3.

They disappointed many fans in every which way possible. They made sure to disappoint core fan base. If you go and check youtube for reviews it is filled with disappointment. And i am not among the few but i am among the most who were more sad than disappointed. They used whole season just as a build up for the next season to come. And that is not acceptable in anyway. I am sad I waited for 4 years for this disappointing experience.

Mirzapur Season-3-More Reflective & Thought Provoking

Theme and Plot: There is no doubt in the fact that the Much Awaited Mirzapur Season-3 has done justice to the expectations of the audience. I feel so after watching all the 10 Episodes of Mirzapur Season 3 released on July 05. 2024. This time the Crime Thriller seems a more successful venture with an effort for larger elevation. The Season 3 has 10 Episodes. To watch the Entire Season, it requires 8 Hours and 45 Minutes. In this age of utter busy and hectic schedule if audience intends to spare nearly 9 hours to watch Mirzapur Season-3, this is really significant. Mirzapur Season-3 has the potentiality to keep the audience hooked up all through. Like Mirzapur Season-1 and Mirzapur Season-2, the Mirzapur Season-3 revolves round the unholy nexus between crime and politics. So also, Mirzapur Season-3 repeats almost all the characters except Divyendu Sharma who played the role of Munna Trpathi in earlier Seasons. The season-2 ended with a fierce gang-war during which Munna Tripathi and his father Pankaj Tripathi who played the role of Akhandanand Tripathi alias Kalin Bhaiaa; a notorious gangster of Mirzapur and the most powerful person in the crime world of Eastern Uttar Pradesh suffered heavy bullet wounds . Divyendu Sharma deserves credit for his unique portrayal of negative character as a ruthless criminal. But the Season-2 did not confirm whether both Munna Tripathi and Kalin Bhaia died in the shootout by the rival gangster Gullu Pandit played by Ali Faizal. But there was suspense whether Munna Tripathi and Kalin Bhaia would be in Mirzapur Season-3. However, the season-3 begins with the scene of a deserted funeral where Munna Tripathi was cremated. Thus, Mirzapur Season-3 confirms that the audience will miss Munna Tripathi in Mirzapur Season-3 at the outset.

However, the way Mirzapur Season-3 unveils the fact that Kalin Bhaia was alive deserves credit. Up to the Episode-3, it was not clear whether Pankaj Tripathi is alive. But Pankaj Tripathi was shown lying on the death-bed and getting treatment for the bullet injury under the asylum of another gangster Dadda Tyagi of Siwan, Bihar. Important point is certainly not whether a character is dead or alive. Important point is the mastery in reintroducing the evil protagonist Akhandanand Tripathi around whom the action revolved in Mirzapur Season-1 and Mirzapur Season-2.

The Mirzapur Season-3 revolves around establishing and retaining dominance in Mirzapur and in eastern UP by Gullu Pandit . No doubt, after the so-called elimination of Tripathi-dynasty in Mirzapur Ali Faizal; Guddu Pandit is projected as the undisputed monarch of Mirzapur. But as crime never pays, retaining the dominance proved to be challenging for Guddu Pandit because of gang-rivalry in the world of crime that plagues Mirzapur and eastern UP and the political aspirations of a section of corrupt leaders who intend to fry political bread on the pan of violence. The utter negative portrayal of politics and the entire state administration particularly the police force can never be appreciated. But as things happen in a place that adopted gun-culture and violence as the destiny of the masses, the place where criminals decide every discourse, the cocktail of gangsters-corrupt politicians-lame duck police, nothing fruitful can be expected. Mirzapur comprising 3 Seasons expresses the gasping agony of the masses exploited by criminals and corrupt politicians. In fact, crime sets the tone for both politics and power. This is natural that the incidents portrayed be in the realm of crime, prison and the arena of politics and power.

Important point is: all these have been unleashed with a much realistic approach in Mirzapur Season-3. The so-called agenda of the existing government to eliminate crime is nothing but political vendetta that rather pours fuel to the flame of violence and unrest. Mirzapur Season-3 narrates mainly 3 gangsters Gullu Pandit and Sharad Shukla of UP and Tyagis of Bihar. Added to these are other gangs including those parts of Western UP. The action revolves round crime, conspiracy, intrigues, politics and power. As such a state of anarchy is bound to invite other perils, the trans-border drugs deals and the related affairs do the remaining damages.

But significant point is: one the plot, story and the sequences are well-knitted that keeps the audience hooked nearly for 9 hours to complete the season. Similarly, the message of virtue fighting its own battle duel against vice has been depicted tactically through the characters like Ramakant Pandit; an honest lawyer imprisoned in the murder charge of a police officer. As in such a negative atmosphere, romance can never thrive roots and the concord of criminals can hardly be accepted as romance, the story rather tries to narrate complex psychology related to relationships to explore these.

Cast and Characterization: The Cast and Characterization of the Film is simply superb.

Once again, Pankaj Tripathi proves his genre as an actor. Tripathi seemed more appealing in Season-3

Ali Faizal has really improved his performance in portrayal of evil in Season-3 compared to earlier seasons.

Anjumm Shharma has been fantastic throughout Season-3

Rajesh Tailang does justice with his acting talent.

Vijay Varma has performed really well and proves again that he is a matured actor and comfortable with different roles.

But Anil George rather seems a type character and has not been that much impressive.

Some powerful female characters are enacted by Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi and others. However, the storyline does not allow the female characters to flourish like their male counterparts. Season-3 fails to project Rasika Dugal as could have been.

Symbols and Metaphors: The sequences like flying bees, the humming sound of the bees, waterfalls and some others have been projected with true craftsmanship. The Season-3 must be credited for perfect use of metaphors.

Climax- The climax shows that there is no immediate respite from the dark shade of crime and brutality in Mirzapur. The scene really startles the audience when Pankaj Tripathi shots bullet on Shukla. The Gullu Pandit running out of the prison at end of Season shows there will be more conflict for the dominance in the world of crime and politics in Mirzapur. The message is clear- the all-pervasive battle to uproot crime is yet to initiate. Will there be Mirzapur Season-4? This seems obvious and it is the underlined message as Mirzapur Season-3 ends.

Final Purview: Mirzapur Season-3 has every element expected in a Crime Thriller. The audience who like Crime Thriller will get rejoiced. But the Mirzapur Season-3 also makes fragile existence of virtue. The duel is universal. The Web Series need to venture some extra ground to make balance for lasting relevance. Really, Mirzapur Season-3 is an entertainer that leaves behind reflective impression, something to ponder for all. This is undoubtedly a must watch one.

    Season 3 - Disappointing season

Golu's and Bharat's characters were pathetic. Golu has very limited face expression, wide-eyed dialogue delivery. She has failed terribly. There are many support characters who had done fairly better than actress playing Golu's character.

Capture of Golu and the whole story around it was stretched for more than 3 episodes, very boring.

Character of Beena is getting equally irritating. Except few scenes entire season was dragged to the point of boredom.

Sharad Tyagi is good but had no impactful scenes except the end. Rest of the time he is all talk no action.

Overall, a tiring season this time. Hope the makes it more interesting and.

    Worth watching

Trust me the way it was directed was soo good and it was like a chess game and kaleen bhaiya what he did at the end made my day. But in the end all i want is gudu to be on throne and on season 4 i hope they join hands with maqbool. Die-hard Mirzapur fans might find season 3 underwhelming. The show lacks the novelty and raw energy of its earlier seasons. However, the strong performances and the exploration of female characters within the gangster genre provide some redeeming qualities. Ultimately, Mirzapur 3 feels more like a flicker of embers than a raging fire. Whether season 4 can reignite the spark remains to be seen.
