The movie is so loud from beginning to end, mostly everyone is shouting. The starting sequences are setting up each character and directly starts into the core plot.

VJS and Nithya both did their job very well, eventhough this is bit overdosed, i liked it the way they portrayed the weird couple. All the supporting cast helped for the flow and did their job very well. Kali Venkat character justification is nice sentiment touch.

Felt lagging here and there, Yogi Babu saved on those moments. This might not be everyone's cup of tea, I liked it.

After credit scenes are LOL, dont miss it.

Thalaivan Thalaivi is a beautifully made film that shows the real struggles between a husband and wife.

It portrays how family pressures, especially from mothers and mother-in-laws, create tension in married life.

Yet, despite the quarrels and misunderstandings, love stands strong - raw but unshakable.

Vijay Sethupathi is superb in his role, bringing depth and honesty to every scene.

Nithya Menen's cute and natural acting makes her character so lovable and relatable.

The mother character of Vijay Sethupathi is portrayed very realistically, adding weight to the story.

The emotions, chemistry, and silences between the couple feel very real and touching.

I watched it with my family, and we enjoyed every bit of it.

Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya had great chemistry in this film. She seems to fit into whatever role she plays, I don't know how. Underrated actor, she.

Barring that, I am not sure if I am able to see why this loud and jarring film is the massive hit that it has become. "Yogi Babu's comedy was great." aam, not sure about that, and I don't know if the film changes if you axe out his entire role. Regressive dialogues kept aside, I wonder if the events of this film are still commonplace in rural-TN and maybe I'm so far away from that reality and out of touch.

While this film was not for me and I think it'll end up in the "Bad movies of 2025" list in my books, I'd rather watch this over a badly made, jarring, 400-Crore commercial film that delivers nothing but fanservice to people who are too afraid to admit that their hero made a bad movie.

The movie has no story at all. It's about a couple who fight then makeup then fight and makeup, this keeps going on throughout the movie, tiring everyone out. And everyone is yelling all the time. I saw it on OTT and sound was unbearable. I sympathise with people who saw this in theatre, they must have gone deaf.

The 4 stars are for solid performances by all cast despite the lacklustre script. There are a few funny moments but there is only so much yelling one can take. So movie is a good way to get a headache(Thalavalli).

When 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menon unite for these kind of subjects, it will be a feast for the audience. It is little overcooked feast for us but promised us with lot of interesting and funny things conveyed in a light hearted way.

Vijay Sethupathi as Parotta master I just enjoyed seeing it. He along with Nithya Menon is a great combo to see on big screen. We all face family issues in someway or the other. The way this movie communicated these family fights and misunderstanding in a light-hearted way with cinematic touch is just awesome to see.

This movie was a laughing therapy for people who enjoys these kind of subjects.

Overall a good movie to watch for family audience by not thinking too much about it and not taking it personally.
