Hated It

This short is a boring not sexy dance sequence with no dialogue. Just a quote from bigoted Pope Benedict. Total waste of time. Benedict was anti-gay as is the Catholic church. Nothing new here. Timid filmmaking, almost ambiguous in stating a point of view. I hated it. Waste of time. No redeeming value. Nothing interesting or new about the dance choreagraphy. Dull, dull, dull. Nothing innovative or interesting cinematically. If this were a student film, I'd give it an F. So cautious, as if afraid of offending a homophobic professor for fear of not getting a passing grade. This would have been awful even by the standards of gay film in the 1980s or 1990s. At least no one dies or gets punished at the end. 1 star. Avoid. This is 10 wasted minutes you'll never get back. Caveat emptor.

Beautifully danced jewel of a film

Just saw this short at Amsterdam's 18th LGBT Film Festival - Roze Filmdagen 2015 - and was impressed by the filming of a beautifully danced duo and trio. This is a visual pearl, using slow motion to great advantage, of beautiful bodies presenting us with an opportunity to be touched by our perceptions and expectations. The androgynous dancer presses our buttons: what we see won't be necessarily what we get.
