This series is a letdown from start to finish. The storyline is highly predictable, and the overall execution lacks originality or depth. Bhumi Pednekar is a Royal misfit - her performance feels forced, and she fails to bring any emotional authenticity to the screen. Her presence becomes more irritating than impactful.
Zeenat Aman, a legend of Indian cinema, is sadly wasted in a role that adds little to the plot. Casting such an iconic actress for a throwaway part makes no sense and feels like a missed opportunity.
The only saving grace here are Sakshi Tanwar and Ishaan Khatter, who bring genuine energy and conviction to their roles. They both make the series slightly watchable, but unfortunately, even their combined efforts can't rescue this poorly written and poorly cast show.

I just finished watching this series, and immediately I felt like it's a very bad casting or I can say pairing of the main actors. The age difference of Bhumi and Ishan is clearly visible. Also there is no great story or suspense they have created. Everything is too predictable. I was actually waiting for the series but now I'm disappointed, it was very weird to see their chemistry even nora's charector was also not going well with Ishan. Although Ishan acted very well. I liked the acting of Sakshi, it could be a great series if there would be a good story and very good casting. I saw milind soman is also in the series but his screentime is almost zero, wish he would have much bigger role.
It was so bad. This is my first ever rating in 28 years of being. Imagine the cringe I had to endure to be here. Another one was Nadaniyaan but thank god I shut that off in 2 minutes. The dialogues were too slow, no one was even remotely funny and the actor's holier than thou attitude killed me from inside. You guys will not believe that to just complete the number of characters for this review I'm still going on, imagine how pathetic this tv series actually was. Not even Milind could save this one with his ghostly presence on the screen. But what do I know, I could barely finish one episode. Thankyou.
Bhumi is a disaster. Their meet-cute is awkward, their banter forced, and their romance, the supposed emotional anchor of the show, is the weakest link.
Pednekar, capable of far more textured performances, is saddled with a character who swings from headstrong entrepreneur to helpless mess depending on what the script requires.
Khatter, meanwhile, gives it his all-brooding over his family legacy one minute, playing shirtless beach polo the next - but the writing gives him precious little to work with. His most compelling scenes are with his horse, which, frankly, displays more emotional range than most of the ensemble.

Great canvas and initial idea but failed script, screenplay and acting. Exhausting watch, absolute cringe-fest.
I'm not sure if Bhoomi's character is meant to be 10 years younger than the actor or if Ishaan's character is meant to be 10 years older. Completely feels out of place and forced conflict and chemistry, just bad..
The screenplay and dialogues destroy what is an opportunity to showcase relatively good lighting, color, and set design..peasing to the eye.. The forced 'steaminess' or sensuality angle just seems incredibly unnecessary!
An absolute opportunity to build genuinelly good characters out of the royal siblings absolutely wasted.
A little depth and character development would've gone a long way.
The Royals is a shallow waste of time.
