Daddy Issues

By episode 3 i now hate this kid. What an arrogant spoiled brat. I hope he gets hit by a truck or something in the series finale.. if this kid keeps being this arrogant theres no way youll see me come back for a 2nd season.

The owen wilson character is down on his luck and likable,, and sees a kid who is a natural talent and wants to help make him a super star, when the mom asked for 100k i was like your kidding but i went along with it,, but after the kid went off and had a little tanty to the girl i lost all empathy for the kid clearly.

Overall the writing is ok, very stereo typical and somewhat predictable. It dragged on in ep 2 about "IF HE WAS GOING OR NOT" like there was any doubt. Ill give it one more ep and if its as annoying as this one was im out.. theres a million other shows out there.

I've gotta say I've really been enjoying the show but oh my god, this bartender girl might be one of the worst actresses I've seen in a while, and just an absolute obnoxious character. I'm not sure I can continue if she's a major part of the show. Lmao I'm literally watching ep 4 as I'm typing this and she just intro'd herself as they/she... I hate this show and will not be continuing. What awful writing. I just want to watch Owen be Owen, do you really have to weigh it down with something so idiotic like that? I don't get it, and I don't understand why Apple would even let something like that slide. You're making your audience so incredibly small with that.

The worst episode so far, and they managed to turn Santi into a little brat. All the girls teaching the boys a lesson. Ownership of your individualism and fighting back against the wealthy men that control your destiny is the theme, if that is your sort of thing. It would be one thing if the plot cleverly carries this out, but it entirely hamfisted and wedged in as a theme. It feels like they're trying to make the show "deeper" than it needs to be. Very counter to the Ted Lasso school of writing where you arrive at the moral having been entertained the whole time. Let's hope they turn it around in the next few episodes. Owen Wilson and the ex-wife have been carrying the show this far; not surprising that the first episode that sidelines them suffers a lack of quality.
