Even tho this episode is "inconsequential" to the greater overall narrative of invincible, I think this episode provides a lot of good world building and character building for side characters in invincible. I like the small subplot with oliver, helps to humanize him after seeing him be a murderous sociopath a couple episodes ago. I really enjoy the titan subplot personally, it was one of my favorite episodes in S1 and I'm really glad we came back to it. They also brought back machine head which is great cause he was way to entertaining to be a one off character. Invincible himself kind of takes a back seat throughout, which is ok honestly cause I feel like his characterization throughout this season has been pretty messy. I'm also not a fan of the constant heart to heart chit chats between him and eve, just cause it feels like a lot of tell and not show. A lot of emotions getting talked at to you and it just becomes disengaging and cheap. But overall really enjoyed this episode and it's lowkey my favorite episode of the season so far.
This season is s big and boring mess.
All the side characters and the B-plots are getting out of hand. This episode was 40 minutes boring people, 10 minutes of action and 3 minutes of actually advancing the story.
Invincible is the "strongest" he's ever been and he's gettin beat up by random villains. He doesn't wanna work with "bad people" but there he goes helping the same villain who betrayed him las season.
I've never read the comic and I don't care to. I just want the main story to progress. They have done nothing with the viltrumites! Every nee episode feels like time outside earth is paused until the writers decide to finally bring them back again.

This is the kind of episode I like to see in a series in general.
Very often we are so engaged in the events of a story that we forget the fact that we are watching real people deal with scenarios and and situations varying in ethics and heavy with responsibility and doubt.
This episode did a very good job of balancing out the fast-paced season with some good character moments and interactions and many intertwined plots moving together seamlessly.
The opening scene was, let's just say "unique" and I love the fact that I finally get to see these characters be real people. This builds attachment and a connection to the story and its events and keeps you engaged.
The sound design and mixing were far better than the previous episode (with great music taste) and there were moments of genuinely good animation which surprised me.
I wish they used this style in the previous episode but whatever. Looking forward to this season.

I gotta say, the episodes with the Order and Titan are my favorite sub-plot of this series. I enjoyed the last time we met Titan and Battle Beast, enjoyed this time as well.
This Titan guy, he does get underestimated a lot. He is a lot smarter than he looks.
Welcome back, Machine Head. How I missed your auto-tuned voice. I think the choreography for the fight with the Dragon could have been better.
The music is fire, the song choices in the show, just elite.
Overall, a very story driven episode, not a lot of action. A glimpse of Nolan and Allen could have made it a solid 9 but regardless I'm excited for the next week. This season has been so good, loving it.

Besides the very mediocre plot, the animation is continuing to get worse. Usually the outstanding writing makes up for the terrible animation, but this was honestly just a poorly-paced, painfully average, boring filler episode. It's honestly so frustrating because the potential of this series is almost limitless, but Amazon prefers to splash the cash on celebrity voice actors as opposed to some decent animation. It's getting to the point that the animation is so awful that it's distracting and takes away from the show as a whole. Everything looks so lazy and ugly. I love Invincible but this really sucked.

Machine Head: Backstab me again and I'm gonna drown you in your kid's blood while I tear off your wife's skin and eat her heart. And I don't even eat meat, so that's saying a lot. Comprende?
