I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this episode. It had some standout moments, but also some aspects that left me conflicted.
The opening sequence with Multi-Paul's escape attempt was a highlight for me. It was an inventive use of his powers that I hadn't considered before, and it added a fresh layer to his character. Similarly, the morning-after shenanigans between Eve and Mark was fun and it was nice to see Oliver and Mark act like brothers.
However, the rest of the episode felt uneven. As is common now Mark continues to get dominated by every on-screen villain. I almost find myself missing his evil versions because at least they seemed capable. For instance, the dragon repeatedly ambushes him, which makes me question his title as the strongest person on earth and of he has superspeed-how is he not fast enough to avoid these attacks? Yet, later in the episode, he uses his super speed to clean the house so quickly that Deborah doesn't even notice. But that is just a personal gripe and something that will hopefully change in the future.
On a technical note, the sound mixing and effects felt off this episode. There were several awkward pauses in dialogue, like the conversation between Paul and Kate, where there would be a line, followed by 5 seconds of silence, then a response, and then another long silence. It made the pacing feel unnatural. Similarly, the sound effects during action scenes were inconsistent. I would have liked some impacts to emphasized to add weight and tension and there were moments of complete silence in the middle of fight scenes, which felt jarring and took away from the episode.
