I'm incredibly disappointed with the latest episode of Blue Lock. It honestly felt like watching a mobile game PNG slideshow in PowerPoint rather than a professional anime episode. The animation quality was just lackluster, with static images and poor transitions that completely took me out of the experience.
After the previous episode, which was already a letdown, I was hoping to see some improvements in this one. Unfortunately, it seems like nothing has changed. The dynamic energy and excitement that originally drew me to Blue Lock are missing, and instead, we're left with a series that feels rushed and poorly executed. The fight scenes and character movements lacked fluidity, making it hard to stay engaged.
I can't help but wonder what's going on with the production team. This series has so much potential, and it's frustrating to see it squandered like this. The storytelling is still there, but the lack of quality in animation is overshadowing everything else. I really hope the creators take notice of this trend and work on delivering a more polished product in future episodes. Right now, it feels like Blue Lock is losing its identity, and that's a real shame for fans who were excited about this series.
Let's hope they can turn things around because, as it stands, I'm seriously considering dropping it altogether if things don't improve.

I think no matter how embarrassing this adaptation is, the animation is being made up for by the other departments, and that needs credit.
This episode of Blue Lock (or as it's also known "PNG lock") still sucked in animation, don't get me wrong, but it seemed better than the last episode because of the slack other departments picked up. And that deserves a lot of credit.
Don't get me wrong, no one is drawing frames, but at the same time the colouring of the frames is fine, there was a bit more animation in this episode, and you could understand what was happening in the game. There were some terrible moments, yes, but generally the animation seemed more palatable than the last episode.
And I don't know if it's just because the last episode completely destroyed any expectation that the animation would be good, but it just seemed slightly more tolerable this time. Yeah it's bad but it's still worth watching for voice acting and colouring the manga for you even if it's terrible and barely an anime.
6/10 - Blue Lock is still Blue Lock, even with 10 times less frames.

This episode of Blue Lock was quite impressive, especially due to the plot and Isagi's masterful performance. However, the animation wasn't at its best, which is why I gave it a 9/10. Everything apart from the animation was phenomenal, but there's definitely room for improvement. In my opinion, season 1's animation was superior to season 2's. The focus this time seemed to be more on the characters' faces than the actual gameplay, which is disappointing. It feels like I'm watching a PowerPoint slideshow rather than a fast-paced sports anime. I truly hope the Blue Lock anime improves, not in its storytelling, but in the movement and fluidity of the characters. That said, out of all the episodes I've seen so far this season, this one was still the best.
