This episode of Blue Lock was quite impressive, especially due to the plot and Isagi's masterful performance. However, the animation wasn't at its best, which is why I gave it a 9/10. Everything apart from the animation was phenomenal, but there's definitely room for improvement. In my opinion, season 1's animation was superior to season 2's. The focus this time seemed to be more on the characters' faces than the actual gameplay, which is disappointing. It feels like I'm watching a PowerPoint slideshow rather than a fast-paced sports anime. I truly hope the Blue Lock anime improves, not in its storytelling, but in the movement and fluidity of the characters. That said, out of all the episodes I've seen so far this season, this one was still the best.
