After completing her final duty to her husband Boran, Alya intends to return to Canada with her child. However, she encounters the ruthless face of the Albora Family, where customs and traditions take precedence over the law. The family refuses to give her son back to her. Her attempt to escape with her son puts both of them in great danger, igniting the flames of an eternal conflict.
- Boran Albora died in a car accident in Toronto, Canada, when Alya was driving their car. Honoring Boran's will, his widow Alya flies to Mardin, Türkiye, with their son Deniz Cihan to bury him in his birth town. Upon arrival, she is only greeted by the Albora family lawyer, Mr. Erol Taskin, as her brother-in-law, Cihan, who was supposed to meet her at the airport, is instead chasing at gunpoint his longtime enemy, Demir Baybars. Passing through a border-controlled area, the convoy carrying Boran's coffin is halted by an army patrol searching for firearms and diesel smuggling. The army officers want to open Boran's coffin to check the authenticity of the hearse. Alya strongly opposes and wants to return to Canada to bury her deceased husband. Only Cihan Albora's arrival and his contacts with the commanding officer allow them to continue their funeral journey. Arriving at the Albora family residence, worried about the attitude of her late husband's mother towards her and the numerous armed men present, Alya intends to spend the night at the hotel she has booked. But Cihan Albora forbids her to leave on the grounds of disrespecting their traditions and customs. Furthermore, Alya's mother-in-law, Sadakat Albora, tells her son Cihan that her grandchild, Deniz Cihan, shall from now on never ever leave Mardin.—Malagaaunike
