Blisters and Bedrock

I have never seen a group of writers that don't understand what made the first season or the characters great and basically ruin it completely with so much worse padding in season 2.

The writers of season 2 are basically so uninspired that they can't write their own ideas and they basically ruin season 1 with their finger paint over a Mona Lisa painting.

To be clear, one the dialogue is so meta and bad. The second thing is that this episode was used to tease a fight that never happened in all the promotional material multiple times.

Finally, the flashback ruins Vander and Silco because the writers had no faith in their own ideas that they had to stoop to fanservice of their best characters Silco and fan favorite Vander.

To be clear, the flashback makes Vander and Silco seem like horrible people because their mutual friend is pregnant and this characters hooks them to her responsibility while these guys are planning a revolution! Imagine if George Washington was planning the revolution and all the pregnant women of Philadelphia tells them: So you have to win this revolution or die trying or take care of my kids if I die in it. These aren't even his biological kids! It's just someone who got pregnant and decided to throw themselves in front of a war expecting to win or die and not care about their kids... Silco is there like: "I won't even remember you or your kids."

Whoever the cheap writers were for this season did not finish their first novel and they were given a writing role on one of the best animated shows in the last 5 years.

This episode moves Arcane to the top of animated and non-animated series. You can relate to all the characters, see them grow and change. The pacing was just perfect too, every image, every frame is a gift for the watchers.

I'm crying my eyes out right now, it's just too perfect. I don't want to comment anything else, this episode is just for people to enjoy and say thank you. Riot and Netflix made something so unique that is unbelievable. Really I don't want to say anything else about this episode, they just reached a new high that didn't believe it was possible.

Can't wait to see the ending of this story.

Honestly, I've counted the days since I watched season one waiting for this show. Season 1 truly was a masterpiece in storytelling, animation, music, voice acting and so much more. The opening act truly was a decent follow-up, but to me the show started derailing about the fourth episode. After this, I'm not even sure I'll finish it. It feels like they're phoning it in. Every storyline feels forced and contrived. The only slight positive in this episode was the flashback of Vander and Silco, and even that just feels like fan service. I don't know if maybe they're using different writers it what, but I think I'm stop here for a while. I'm afraid the ending might just disappoint me.

Holy moly.. I dont even know where to begin! This was the episode that left me overwhelmed with emotions! This was the moment where I could not hold any tears back and I realized how cruel and tragic this world is!

This episode was simply put, expertly written! Every scene had my fuul attention! Every line spoken was of some significance or importance! The moments between characters were perfect, powerfull and emotional!

Vi amd Jinx just Steel everything! Their dynamic and relationship was just as I wanted, as they share a heartbreaking moment that was on the way since S1 E3!

The flashback came at rhe perfect time! The fight was INSANELY well animated!! My jaw was on the floor.. and rhe conclusion.. peak emotional moment!

Then the end! Wow.. what just happened?

I came into season 2 initially being worried, but last weekend, I had a surprise that Riot/Fortiche had captured lighting in a bottle for a second time. Thus my expectations moving into Act 2 where high to say the least, and yet somehow I'm still impressed.

S2 E5 is genuinely one of the best told narratives I've seen portrayed through the lens of a TV series. The visuals as usual were absolutely breathtaking with no room to argue. The music hit the emotion perfectly for every scene.

And wow, just wow, the way it took the story was. Absolute perfection. I genuinely haven't ever felt this way about a show in a long time.

Now, while it may seem a bit crazy to say 10/10 just on the merits of perfection being impossible. This is as close to 10/10 that you can get in my opinion, and it deservers every last point of that.
