Post It

The entire premise of this short is beyond silly. In fact, it quickly moves into grating territory. The woman in this short has no agency. She's not a character. She's a plot device constructed to give the man's life meaning. Slapping post it notes with words of affirmation on random people isn't quirky or fun or inspiring. It's student film philosophy about as deep as a Hallmark Christmas movie.

The premise isn't flawed in and of itself, but the execution is banal. The melancholy piano music, the woman striking up a conversation with a complete stranger, her impulsive free spirit energy that changes a man's whole outlook on life. Women don't exist to give men purpose and meaning. If she were an actual human character maybe this would be more tolerable, but as it is it's just insipid nonsense.

"Post It" is the perfect film after a long, difficult, busy work day. and the right choice in depression. because it could be defined as motivational short film. but he is not one of that films. it is the kick for discover the life. in almost crazy manner. to give a gift, to say a word, to describe, to live. and, scene by scene, it becomes more beautiful. and refreshing. like a spring afternoon. so, a film who must see. for the images and actors and a good inspired director. and for a story . who has many chances to become yours story.
