Mert completely got away from Ferit and adopted Baran very well, he made you feel a completely different character.. The story is very nice and touching, the angles are very successful. The sincerity in his acting makes the connections in the story feel even stronger; he doesn't just act, he makes it happen. He has a special talent for conveying emotion in his eyes and drawing the audience into that emotion.
Baran's gaze breaking over the course of the film, the closer he gets to Lydia, the more he changes, the more he redefines things within himself. His friendship with Esat. How much he also touches Musat's life.
Baran's bond with his niece shows that love, innocence, and connection can heal what once seemed impossible.
But I felt like it would have been much better if it had been filmed as an 8-10 episode series rather than a movie...
I felt like it would have been even more effective if the events were handled in deeper and more detailed ways, it would have conveyed the feeling better...
Other than that, it was a very warm and beautiful work. Congrats to the team.

The movie takes you on an emotional, heartwarming journey, highlighting the hopeful and touching side of the story rather than dwelling on its darkness. The performances are outstanding
Mert Ramazan Demir brilliantly portrays Baran's helplessness and heavy burden, and how he gradually finds hope through his bond with his nephew.
The movie is a perfect choice for a simple, comforting evening. While the story does feel a little rushed at times and lacks long emotional scenes, it remains a beautiful and a heartfelt journey centred on hope and the strength to rise again after each loss.
The film's greatest strength lies in its cast. From the child actors to the supporting roles and especially the lead, Mert, every performance truly shines. Despite the movie not having many deep or long emotional scenes, the actors managed to move the audience through the subtle, genuine moments. In particular, the lead delivers an amazing performance, conveying the character's full range of emotions from anger and despair to tentative hope and happiness in a way that feels both powerful and reel that I found myself tearing up several times while watching.

This drama starts with an intriguing premise that hints at something emotionally rich and thought-provoking. However, as the story unfolds, it leans heavily into melodrama, with conflicts and emotions that feel a bit heightened and less grounded than expected. The lead actor gives a committed performance, but at times it lacks the subtlety needed to fully bring out the character's depth, which makes it harder to connect with their inner journey. Some choices in gesture and vocal delivery feel slightly off, which, rather than grounding the story, tend to emphasize the scripted nature of the dialogue. The ending ties things up neatly, perhaps a bit too quickly, leaving some character arcs feeling underexplored. Still, the film shows ambition and heart-it just doesn't always find the balance it aims for. Baran was not convincing.
The film isn't perfect and has some flaws, but it truly captivated me. It's simple, well-crafted, and conveys a unique sense of innocence and purity. Among recent Turkish films, which are mostly romantic, this one stands out for its heartfelt simplicity. Watching it feels refreshing, offering moments that are pure, bittersweet, and emotionally moving. Despite its shortcomings, I decided to give it a good rating because of its social theme and its distinctiveness.
