    WHAT WILL THEY SAY NOW

The hate this show has gotten over the years has felt very forced and inconsistent, considering the time the episodes release as well as the animation quality people want both or else they want nothing. This episode proves they can do both, and the only cost is some poor animation in episodes that don't need to be carried by it, but instead good dialogue until moments like THIS happen. The destruction that occurred in this episode was all over the place in the best way possible and gave insight into different perspectives of individuals, showing how easily things could've been different. Invincible has proven that it's one of the best shows out today, and has the potential to be amongst the best animated series ever if it can keep this up with the many seasons ahead.

Best episode of the show so far

As someone who has read the comics I was always expecting this episode to be one of the best, but not quite at the level of season 1's finale. I mean the Invincible War takes up only one single issue in the comics without nearly as much build-up as Mark vs Nolan. But just like episode 6, which was also adapted from one issue, they managed to fill the episode with enough content to make it an absolute joy to watch while still keeping the pacing intact. Pretty much every part of this episode was perfect in my eyes. The animation quality is also a noticeable step up from most of the other episodes, but I hope episode 8 will reach the heights of season 1's finale in this regard. I think this season will go down as the best season of the show, and these last couple episodes as well as what I know is coming in the season finale only solidifies that guess. Also props to Steven Yeun for his absolutely incredible performance as the different variations of Mark.

Great adaption of comics and goosebumps in the end

I have read the invincible comics and i knew what will happen but still i felt the story in an intriguing and felt amzed that the animation put efforts in this episode. Some scenes were just monumental which i diden't expect from a series like invincible which people complain for its animation style. The comics had an unexpected arrival after the events of this episode and i was very excited to see what they gave done. I would say that the voice was not what i expected and the character design looked not that big of a threat as he is but i still felt goosebumps because i knew what will happen in the finale which is ine of the greatest events in invincible comics.

    Peak

"Invincible" Season 3, Episode 7, "What Have I Done?", is a masterclass in superhero storytelling, delivering a gut-wrenching, exhilarating, and emotionally resonant experience that solidifies its place as a pinnacle of animated television. This episode transcends typical superhero fare, delving into the complex moral dilemmas and devastating consequences that define the "Invincible" universe.

From the opening moments, the tension is palpable. The episode expertly balances heart-pounding action sequences with deeply introspective character moments. Steven Yeun's portrayal of Mark Grayson continues to be a tour de force, capturing the character's internal struggle with a raw vulnerability that is both captivating and heartbreaking. The supporting cast shines as well, with each performance adding layers of depth to the intricate narrative.

The writing is exceptional, weaving together multiple plot threads with seamless precision. The episode tackles themes of responsibility, sacrifice, and the blurred lines between good and evil with a maturity and nuance that is rarely seen in animated series. The emotional weight of the episode is immense, and the writers do not shy away from the brutal realities of the "Invincible" world.

The animation, while sometimes receiving critiques, in this episode, the artistic direction elevates the story to new heights. The visceral fight scenes are breathtakingly choreographed, and the character designs are expressive and impactful. The sound design and musical score further enhance the emotional impact of each scene, creating an immersive and unforgettable viewing experience.

This episode is not just a spectacle of superhero action; it's a deeply human story that explores the complexities of morality and the consequences of power. The episode leaves you on the edge of your seat, and reeling from the emotional impact. This episode is a defining moment for the "Invincible" series, and a testament to the power of animated storytelling. It is a must watch for any fan of the show, and a shining example of how to do superhero stories correctly. This episode has placed itself amongst the best of the entire series.

The Best Episode Since Season 1!!!

The penultimate episode of Invincible Season 3 is absolutely incredible, and it's amazing to finally get another episode on-par with the last two of the first season. Up until now, those have been the best episodes of the show BY FAR and I was beginning to worry thag we'd never reach that height again...!

This episode has absolutely everything you want in a superhero show of this level. It's got good humour, incredible action, a killer soundtrack, incredible writing, a constantly moving story, extremely high stakes, and it even made me shed a tear!

Not only is it the best episode of Season 3, but it's also the best episode of the entire series since the final two episodes of Season 1, which is saying a lot in itself. It looks like Invincible could be a top contender for the best comicbook series of all time, if it manages to deliver another episode nearly on this level!

    • Trivia
In the original source material, one of the Invincible variants (specifically the one wearing Viltrumite uniform without the mustache) was engaged in combat with popular comic book character Spawn as both Invincible and Spawn are characters created by Image Comics. Despite their shared origin from the same comic publisher, Spawn does not appear in this episode and was swapped out with the character Wolfman who originated in Image Comics "Astounding Wolfman".

      [last lines]

Conquest: Stand ready for my arrival, worm.

[Invincible looks up to see Conquest floating above him]

Conquest: You were given orders. You were given time. You were given more leeway than most, and yet, I find this planet unprepared for the arrival of our Viltrum Empire.

Invincible: This isn't a good time.

Conquest: The Empire anticipated your resistance, which is why they sent me. I am Conquest, and I am your last chance to fulfill your duty.

Invincible: You don't understand. All this? This is my fault. So, the only thing I want to do right now is hit something as hard as I can.

      Conquest: Mm. Good.
