The actors and their performances.. The location casting, cinematography and costuming. All of it. Wow!
The series may have started off rough during it's first season, but I cannot help but be amazed by how it was all brought together and what they managed to fit together into the finale for the third season.
As a long time fan of the work and someone whose heart has been broken by book-adaptions a long, long time ago at a young age ("Mists of Avalon" was ROUGH), I was apprehensive along the way. There is plenty of criticism to be levied at earlier choices, but the way season 3 brought it all together and managed to stick the landing this time gives me a lot of hope for future seasons!
Sophie Okonedo delivered one of the best performances I've seen on television. Her scene in the Hall was pure power-raw, moving, unforgettable. It gave the entire finale emotional depth that lingered long after the credits rolled.
The writing was bold, the visuals cinematic, and the pacing relentless. This show doesn't just adapt greatness-it defines it.
Season 4 can't come soon enough.
I do not want to write a review with spoilers, which is challenging. So I will simply state the episode is very dramatic and brilliantly weaves together the plot lines throughout the season to thrilling/haunting conclusions.
The foundation has been set for a fantastic season four!
Keep going with the momentum you built this season and you will have a fantastic finish. The set design and cinematography are excellent and this season they have really started to capture some of the core elements of the world and the characters places in it. Also the casting has been some of the best I have seen in a fantasy series in a long time. If you love fantasy you owe it to yourself to give the show a chance. The first season was rough but it has gotten steadily better with each new season.
The Wheel of Time Season 3 finale is nothing short of breathtaking; a masterclass in fantasy storytelling that not only honors Robert Jordan's legacy but elevates it to soaring new heights. Every moment feels meticulously crafted, from the stunning cinematography to the emotionally charged performances that leave a lasting imprint. The elevation from the first two seasons is remarkable!
The finale brings together every thread the season has been weaving: grand battles that feel both intimate and world-shattering, character arcs that reach deeply satisfying payoffs, and plot twists that genuinely surprise without feeling forced. It's clear that the showrunners have a deep respect for the source material, but they're also unafraid to make bold choices that keep even diehard fans guessing.
Rosamund Pike once again delivers an astonishing performance as Moiraine, portraying strength, vulnerability, and unwavering purpose with breathtaking precision. The rest of the ensemble cast matches her intensity, with standout moments from Josha Stradowski's Rand al'Thor, whose transformation into the Dragon Reborn feels both inevitable and tragic.
Visually, the finale is a feast. The production design, costuming, and especially the battle sequences are among the finest the genre has seen on television - easily rivaling the biggest fantasy epics. The One Power has never looked more awe-inspiring or terrifying.
Perhaps the greatest triumph of the Season 3 finale is its emotional resonance. It's not just about magic and prophecy; it's about loyalty, love, sacrifice, and the eternal struggle between light and shadow. The final scenes left me exhilarated, heartbroken, and desperate for more - exactly how a great fantasy saga should make you feel.

Moiraine Damodred: [VO] For the land is one with the Dragon Reborn, and he is one with the land. Soul of fire, heart of stone: in pride, he conquers, forcing the proud to yield. He calls upon the mountains to kneel and the seas to give way and the very skies to bow. Pray that the heart of stone remembers tears and the soul of fire... love.
