After eight episodes I finally gave up, actually seven and a half I quit halfway through the eighth. The writing is awful but not only that the cast doesn't work and that includes Tim Allen, he seems like he's just going through the motions. Kat Dennings is terrible, her delivery is flat and her timing is always just half a beat off, just enough for the joke to fail, I have no idea how two broke girls lasted six seasons. The two kids seem like the producers just picked the first two actors that showed up to audition, they have no chemistry together or with Dennings. And what's with the lisp? Does he really talk like that or is that a creative choice?

Well I think the reviewer who said they gave up with this show after this episode is rather missing it as it seems to be coming into its own.

Tim Allen and Kat Dennings chemistry is growing episode on episode, and the plots have evolved into being more than just 'Matt's parenting style vs Riley's'.

This episode shows a desire to develop the kid characters, and the two guys at the shop are being utilised better too.

Is the show perfect? No, but you can't fault the progress it's making.
