While the show doesn't make any overt declarations of romance, there are moments that speak volumes. A lingering glance, an unexpected blush, or the way they always come back to support each other-there's something tender and unspoken in their bond.

What's beautiful is how they balance one another. My Melody softens Kuromi's rough edges, while Kuromi pushes Melody out of her comfort zone. It's a relationship built on deep understanding and quiet affection. Fans who interpret their connection as romantic find that it adds even more emotional depth to the show.

Whether you see them as close friends or as something more, My Melody and Kuromi offers a refreshing portrayal of love in all its forms-playful, patient, and pure. When the trailer released... I had reasonable expectations the show wouldn't be perfect, but Sanrio blew my expectations out of the water, it's more than perfect

the stop-motion animation is extremely fitting and charming, and despite the "Kawaii-Overload" Sanrio is known for, this delicious sweet of a show is a perfect blend of cuteness with dark undertones that will appeal to both kids and adults, both the Japanese and English Voice cast took their skills to the next level. I personally felt a deeper connection with every character present in this journey. As a fully grown, young-male; I won't be ashamed to admit I almost cried and it will leave a dumb smile on my face for the rest of the year!

Kudos to Sanrio, the voice actors and everyone who worked on this show.

My Melody and her rival Kuromi face off in a pastry contest. But Melody has found a friendly creature that makes things sweeter.. an unfair advantage. Is everything going to be okay?

... I was quite surprised, actually.. as I entirely expected a kid's show. But it has "horror" like aspects at times, and a lot of unexpected depth! Like judging someone for their kindness, and how such a character causes negative consequence.

It had great visuals and consistent quality throughout. From the effects, animation, camera work, and especially every piano action-scene stand out as highlights.

The story balances both Melody and Kuromi evenly.

That said, it can be hard to follow at the start, and the villain Pistachio feels a bit too underweitte to to leave much of an impression.

Overall though, it's a surprisingly layered experience and not at all what I expected.

They truly have outdone themselves with this adorable series! First, the stop motion animation is absolutely incredible, especially the materials they used...not just clay, but the fluffy cotton candy material they used for some of the little smoke/cloud effects is just too cute! Everything from the backgrounds, the lighting and of course the characters are wonderful. The storyline is fun and interesting, my 5 year daughter absolutely LOVES the Sanrio universe... My Mel & Kuromi are her absolute top favorites...so this show was perfect for her. I really hope they do more of this stop motion style of animation for hopefully...MAYBE a second season, or maybe another set of characters!?!!

This show is full of whimsy and fun, it's all about sweet treats and the animation is flawless. Fun for all ages this adventure includes hero's and villains as well as good life lessons and morals.

9/10 because the episodes are only around 13 minutes each, which is perfect for easy digestion and quick watching. I hope they continue this show in the future.
