Well Done C.A. Sahab!

In a world where we get cringed by bollywood movies which can't be seen with family, CA Aaditya Trivedi you have made a movie so good that it will be remembered for a long long time.

Not only we relate to the emotions of the movie but also the symbolic msgs given in the movie.

Not a single time we felt distracted during the movie. Such was the magic. Really appreciate the efforts put in the movie. Casting was also perfect.. none of the characters felt out of place.

My compliments to all the actors, writer of the movies, directors and producers for giving us this beautiful gift in form of a movie. 👏🏼👏🏼

A random check on Thursday night on BookMyShow about the movies releasing on Friday led me to this one in the list. I was literally shocked! I immediately went to YouTube and watched the trailer. I felt that I might connect with it and decided to have a go at it this weekend.

However, the shows were only a couple and expectedly so. This is quite a difficult and abstract topic to make a feature film on. Only recently have we had some web series about CAs. Earlier, this profession wasn't taken up much to be explored on the big screen. We managed to sneak in time for one of the shows this afternoon for the movie.

As was clearly visible from the trailer, the movie connected at a broader level, just coz I have lived that life. I've lived the fear, the frustration, the silent battles, the external criticism, the internal demons, the what-ifs, the near-misses, the clouds of uncertainty, the eventual triumph that came after ample of hindrances!

The plot, the sub plot, the stories, the realities, the life of the individuals embarked on this inexplicable journey of becoming a CA has been so beautifully shown in this movie! There are different stories of different people. There are more stories of struggle and failure than that of triumph and victory. The battle of the 4 letters, to convert "FAIL" into "PASS" is incredibly difficult! I so feel that there's extra-ordinary in everything that seems ordinary. The reason I say so is coz I've been there, seen that!

Well Done C. A. Sahab is as much about the teacher Bhaskar Sir, as it is about the 3 of his students and CA aspirants:- Mithila, Vidyasagar and Siddharth. It is also about Kirti, CA Ajit Shah, the twin brothers and so many others.

The journey from CPT to CA Final via IPCC is incredibly difficult and arduously extravagant. It is not the survival of the fittest here, but survival of the patient sufferers, who only ever aim to not give up until they reach the chequered flag.

Bhaskar Sir had given his life to teaching and bringing new CAs. He dedicated his life towards making good chartered accountants and taught at all 3 levels with aplomb. However, life, just like the journey of a CA student, isn't a straight flow. It is a topsy-turvy road with challenges galore.

The story of Mithila is one that many would relate with. Once hailed as a topper, this course shows that even the best can falter here. And then, the doubts start creeping in. How much more? Why only me? Again? Really? No! The cycle of November after May keeps on repeating and it becomes a tad bit difficult to get out of it. It then becomes a battle of one more, or giving up finally. You don't usually give up unless of course, life does its work. So then, you keep pushing. Thoda aur, thoda aur, like Asrani would say in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. Until you actually win and indeed become a Sikandar (CA). Add to that the responsibility that comes with being a woman that's married and pursuing CA final. Uff! We surely cherish these stories as we know what it takes to conquer such situations for real.

Vidyasagar's story was different and worth witnessing. From a town of thieves, here was someone who had it in him to turn the tide. Once under the correct guidance and having been given the right direction, there was no stopping him. He was excellent with numbers. He was confident. He wanted to bring about a positive change. And yet, he also failed. That's just how it goes. Add to it, the family emergency and the setbacks through it. You got to live whilst withstanding it all and yet deliver, coz the show must eventually go on. His character is something that evolved with time occasionally. That is what we ought to do, given the changes that keep on coming regularly. Accept and adopt is how we survive in this game called life ultimately.

The story of Siddharth is one that again will resonate with many who have been a part of the CA journey for real. Doubts tend to creep in. Are we in the right field? What if I quit now? What if this ain't for me? What if my heart is somewhere else? What if I change and don't succeed there too? Sometimes, lack of clarity helps us stay put on the chosen path. Sometimes, it tends to bring about a monumental shift that changes the tide altogether. The choice between passion and chosen path is something that's difficult to make. Pursuing both, and succeeding at both, is a risk too hard to be taken and marched upon. I could so very well relate to the frustration when asked about being happy, being positive, enjoying life, etc. When the ones making those statements would themselves crib about every negative that would happen with each choice that we ever make.

Bhaskar Sharma's story is something that again is so uncommon and never really talked about. It is one thing having teaching as a profession, it is another thing giving your whole life in giving back to the students and living based on their results. It is remarkable how some teachers become cheerleaders and an inspiration in our journey to become what we want to become in life.

The story of the twin brothers was also quite intriguing. The background was tough, the future, they wanted to make it better. Alas, just when you feel the victory bells would ring, tragedy happens. Their plot in the movie reminded me of the lyrics of Socha Nahin Tha from Kaante, which said:- "Socha Nahin Tha Taqdeer Yahan Layegi, Manzil Pe Aate Hi Jaan Chali Jayegi. Ye To Sikandar Ne Bhi Nahi Tha Socha, Aane Se Pehle Khushi Laut Jayegi."

All in all, it felt really good to see something I've gone through being shown on the big screen. The struggle, the process, the failures, the success, everything has been so brilliantly shown here.

Written by Aaditya Trivedi, a lot of the plot revolves around my era and time of Chartered Accountancy. Hence, the story was simple, real and raw, just like it ought to be. Certain more emotions could have been added but what was shown was fine too.

Direction by Sarvesh Kumar Singh is decent. It is a typical CA journey plot wherein a lot of realistic stuff has been brought up along with some fine performances, that make for a really good watch, something that us professionals would connect to.

Dialogues by Aaditya Trivedi were simple, yet ones that were powerful. Some of my favourites are as below:

1. Zindagi ki marksheet mein kuch marks sapnon ke bhi hote hai 2. Kabhi kabhi hum tabhi jeet te hai jab haarne ka darr sabse jyada ho 3. Sabse khatarnak hota hai apne sapnon ka mar jaana

The 3rd dialogue reminded me of Preksha Mehta, whose last story was on these lines before she bid adieu to the world.

Music by Mukt was decent, given the kind of music that's being made these days. I loved how Shaan sang Chal Pade Hum. It is always a delight to listen to him. Again, I love another Chal Pade Hum song sung by Shaan, from the movie Satrangee Parachute.

Coming to the performances, I would begin with the fact that the casting was fantastic and almost everyone played their role quite well.

Gopal Datt as Bhaskar Sir was brilliant. He didn't overact being a teacher, but showed calm and composure. It was quite a matured performance in two different personas overall from him.

I thought Jyoti Kapoor as Mithila was outstanding. She performed the role of a wife looking to clear her final exam with utmost precision. Her dialogue delivery and visual expressions were simply fantastic. This performance should lead her to many more bigger roles in future.

Sayandeep Sengupta also played his role quite well. He was confused and played that part decently.

Gaurav Paswala was outstanding in his role of Vidyasagar. Again, he delivered a splendid performance and impressed a lot. Be it the early enthusiasm or the later matured persona, he was terrific. His dialogue delivery was quite good too.

Nishma Soni is going onwards and upwards with each performance. After Bhram, this was another brave performance. She made her presence felt and we could feel a student getting and wanting into the CA field. Keep the good work coming and chasing your dreams.

Archan Trivedi was really good with his performance, so was Makrand Shukla. I could also spot Kanksha Vasavada in a cameo. Every one else only added to the acting and all delivered really well.

Overall, the movie might not have many takers, given its subject, but hats off to the makers for coming up with this movie. What you've done is commendable and you truly brought out the emotions and reality attached to the CA fraternity.

The support of the parents, the peer pressure, the fact that seniors become juniors and juniors become seniors is all so true and experienced by us. This movie shows the CA journey of our times, when the results were tough, and even your best wasn't enough. I could relate to the attempts and fear of falling behind so well.

The movie is not only for CA fraternity, it should resonate with everyone who has ever had struggles with choices, faced fear, succumbed to pressure and has been frustrated due to lack of clarity. I would rate the movie 4/5.

As our PM rightly said, C. A isn't working just to play and juggle with the numbers, (s)he should feel that (s)he is contributing to build economics infrastructure of the nation !

This movie is wonderfully crafted to tell a story of struggle and journey of C. A. aspirants.

It is correctly said that entry to C. A. course is easy, but exit from it is difficult !

Its about friendship, relationship of Teacher and students, father and son, husband and wife...This story connects to each one of us in some or other way.

Good performances by all artists, whether a lead or character artist!

The most amazing part of the movie is mentors who invested their emotions in story crafting.

The other amazing part of the movie, most of cast and crew has debuted to Bollywood through this and they all have given enough justice to their performance and work.

Kudos to Direction team and Production team for putting up this wonderful movie

Who needs a CA? - From someone filing a Rs.5,000 ITR to a Rs.50 crore company - everyone needs a CA.

Some marks in life are not on paper - they are on dreams. And CA is one of the few courses that gives you another chance to dream again.

It's not just a film. It's our story.

The story of every CA student.

The story of every Indian family who stood by them.

And even if you're not from CA, go watch it. With friends. With family.

You'll still find your own story somewhere in it.

Must watch with family. Not only CA Student, but Journey is also worth knowing for everyone.

Kudos to the cast and the entire team for bringing this heartfelt story to life on the big screen.

Story is amazing and fresh. We rarely see such stories on big screen nowadays.

It is not a casual watching as it contains small callbacks as well, which makes the story very strong.

This film will relate to you if you came across to a word 'CA' ever in your life.

A drama that will keep you hooked till the end.

This film will relate to anyone who dreams.

Performances: In a way, It is a first movie for everyone who are leads, but you will not feel that for a one second, All the characters have carried this film on their shoulder and like how. ✨

It will push you towards your journey if you are doing a CA.

It will make you proud if you already is a CA.

"Sapno ka signature" song will be forever in your playlist if you are a CA/Aspiring CA.

Overall, It is a great movie, good story, good direction, good performances with good music.

It's a Must watch. A good hindi cinema.
