I love kdramas and I have seen the main leads in other shows and I know they have great potential
However, it seemed wasted on this show, the main reason was it missed opportunities to further develop the characters, and needed more action from them. The emotions didn't translate as well and couldn't connect on a deeper level with them, needed a narrative of who they all were in the past. Parents death, brother suicide, relationship broken (this did not need so much air time) - do we/can we fix this or move on? Poorly executed.
To sum it up, they all felt like walking at the same speed - and couldn't tell them apart. Would have liked to see stronger reactions, timings at key points but it was too slow towards the final 5 episodes. Started well then crashed.
A shame as I love the cast.

I am a huge fan of K-Drama and I love Park Bo-Young and Choi Woo-Sik so I expect a really good drama. But until the last episode, I found that this Drama was so boring and the storyline was a disappointment. I still don't get the wounds and the trauma that the lead characters have were so hurtful to them. Well, I guess I have been through more than them, that's why I cannot relate to it.
The chemistry between the leads was awkward, I felt cringed when I saw the kissing scene.
A few episodes before the end were so boring and brought me to push the speed 1.8x button. I still finish it since I love Park Bo-Young's acting, especially in Daily Dose of Sunshine. I was disappointed she chose this horrendous project.

Yet another K romcom that has as much sex appeal as a bathtub full of rubber duckies.
Which is what to expect when the emotional intelligence EQ of the 2 leads has remained at elementary school level. What's with these endless coy K dramas that keep the leads in arrested development for the whole show and likely their whole lives?
How can the titular film director expect to do more than make insipid "melo lite" movies when her romantic experience is nil? And same question goes for the film critic boyfriend who has no life experience other than a sick brother and an emotionally stunted best friend - he's going to be a popular film reviewer?
This may be the first time I've seen a K drama when the second leads have a more interesting and believable relationship than the stars. Not that their relationship had a lot of insight or maturity either but at least they had some growth and realization. The leads? I doubt they will ever have kids because they haven't discovered the meaning of passion and sex. Children forever who only have a modicum of careers because the writers gave it to them.
The show had promise until about E5 and then it just went into stalled car mode for the rest of the movie. Even the tragedy that happened was barely addressed and didn't show any growth or deeper connection for the leads.
5 stars for the first 5 episodes.

The timeline on this is hard to follow, but it seems like the actors should be late 30s, almost 40, but they act more like late teens early 20s.
The premise was cute, but by episode three, I've lost interest and I keep checking how much time is left.
It's the same old same old misunderstanding type of rom-com that I've seen too many of.
It also feels more like an anime format than a movie.
Good for high schoolers, I guess, but at 60+, I'm out.
I always have a problem here with character limit. Everything is either too short or too long. Don't ask me why someone thought that was a good idea. Thank you for your patience.
